Solved BBA 115 practicals with steps and output: CMD file commands and loan EMI with PMT
Two BBA 115 practicals with output, from different units and outside the sample PDF.
Unit 1, Practical 7: Command Prompt files (page 13)
Aim: create, rename and delete files without the mouse. Logic: md makes a folder and echo ... > writes a file.
md CMDLab
cd CMDLab
echo Unnati Educations > test.txt
type test.txt
ren test.txt lab.txt
dirOutput: type prints Unnati Educations; dir lists lab.txt.
Unit 3, Practical 6: financial functions (page 46)
Logic: money paid out is negative; a yearly rate divided by 12 gives the monthly rate.
| Task | Formula | Output |
|---|---|---|
| EMI, ₹5,00,000 at 10% for 5 years | =PMT(10%/12,5*12,-500000) | ₹10,623.52 |

| NPV: -1,00,000 then 30,000 / 40,000 / 50,000 | =NPV(10%,B11:B13)+B10 | -₹2,103.68 |
| IRR, same flows | =IRR(B10:B13) | 8.90% |

How each BBA 115 practical is written: Aim, Steps, Output and Result in your practical file
Every practical uses one record: a one-line Aim, numbered Steps naming the menu path or shortcut, Output, and a one-line Result. Windows and Word outputs are screenshots (Windows + Shift + S); Excel needs a second screenshot with formulas shown (Ctrl + `); PowerPoint is printed as handouts, six slides per page.
Example: Unit 3 Practical 15 (page 49)
- Aim: look up employee details and protect the sheet.
- Steps: Emp ID in I2;
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(I2,A2:F16,2,FALSE),"Not Found")in I3; unlock I2, then Review > Protect Sheet. - Output: the name, or "Not Found" for a wrong ID; other cells refuse edits.
- Result: details looked up, sheet protected.

How to prepare for the BBA 115 practical exam: Windows to PowerPoint, with Excel's 15 practicals first
Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are the four GGSIPU BBA Sem 1 IT Applications in Business Lab programs you will use. The notes write steps for Windows 11, with Windows 10 paths beside them where menus differ.
Give Excel the most time: 15 of the 51 practicals, including PMT, Pivot Table refresh and Scenario Summary. Then revise the two practicals that join programs: Mail Merge from Excel (Unit 2, Practical 12) and the linked Excel chart (Unit 4, Practical 6).
Viva-voce is one of the internal activities, so rehearse the answers below. All courses are listed under GGSIPU notes.
BBA 115 viva questions with short answers: 82 in the notes, 8 here

BBA 115 lab notes FAQ
How do I get the full BBA 115 lab notes?
Message our desk on WhatsApp at 9899436384 with the code BBA 115. The full notes are sold only as a printed book; there is no PDF edition. The 66-page book has all four units, 51 practicals and 82 viva answers. The View Sample PDF button above shows seven pages, including one practical page from each unit.
Is BBA 115 the same paper as BBA 113?
No. BBA 113 IT Applications in Business is the 3-credit theory paper with three lecture hours a week. BBA 115 is its 1-credit lab with two practical hours a week, and the scheme says the lab is based on BBA 113. Both are Semester 1 Skill Enhancement Courses, and each is marked separately out of 100.
How many marks is BBA 115 out of, and what is the passing mark?
BBA 115 is marked out of 100: 40 internal and 60 external. The internal 40 is a 15-mark class test plus 25 marks from at least two activities such as viva-voce or a presentation. The BBA scheme PDF prints no pass percentage, so none is given here. End-term minimums and re-appear rules are in GGSIPU Ordinance 11.
Can I submit the BBA 115 notes as my practical file?
No. The BBA 115 notes are study notes meant for learning and practice: each practical gives the aim, steps and expected result so you can do it yourself on the lab computer. Your practical file must carry your own screenshots, printouts and results, written in the Aim, Steps, Output and Result format the notes show.
