BPAS 184 Solved Guess Paper 2026 is a 21 page preparation document that carries twelve high probability questions from IGNOU Logistics Management along with a complete written answer for every one of them. Each question earned its place by actually appearing in a real term end paper. We read five years of BPAS 184 question papers and finished with the December 2025 paper before finalising this set, so nothing inside it is prediction dressed up as analysis.
This page is not a summary of the product. It is a working preview. Five full questions with their complete answers are printed below exactly as they appear inside the file, plus the full index, the block wise mapping and the verified repeat data behind every choice. Read it, judge the writing quality yourself, and then decide.

What Is Inside the BPAS 184 Solved Guess Paper 2026
The file holds twelve questions written in IGNOU exam language, each followed by a full length answer of roughly 250 words with a heading structure, numbered points and a written conclusion. There is no filler, no reprinted syllabus and no padded theory that a student has to wade through at midnight before an exam.
Every answer opens with a definition, moves into numbered sub headings that match the way the IGNOU textbook organises the topic, and closes with a two or three line evaluative conclusion. That last part matters more than most students realise. Evaluators for BPAS-184 are reading dozens of scripts that all list the same seven rights of logistics, and a written conclusion is often the difference between a pass mark and a comfortable one.
Alongside the twelve solved questions the file also carries a short study plan section covering the exam pattern, a list of topics that are safe to skip, and a note on what evaluators reward. Students who have used our IGNOU Solved Guess Paper sets for other BAG courses will recognise the layout immediately.
What the BPAS 184 file gives you
- 12 questions phrased the way IGNOU actually phrases them, not textbook headings
- Complete answers for all 12, written to the 250 word target for a 10 mark question
- Block and unit tag on every question so you know where it sits in the syllabus
- Session history on every question showing when it last appeared
- A priority label so you know what to revise first if you have two days left
- Exam pattern notes and a short list of topics not worth preparing
5 Sample Questions with Answers from the BPAS 184 Guess Paper
These five questions and answers are reproduced word for word from the BPAS-184 file, with nothing shortened or rewritten for the web. They are drawn from all three blocks so you can judge the writing across the whole syllabus rather than from one easy topic.
Read at least two of them properly. The point of showing this much is that you should not have to trust a description of quality when you can simply assess it. If the answers below read clearly to you and look like something you could reproduce in an exam hall, the remaining seven are written to the same standard.
Sample 1 · Q1 Logistics: Concept and Types
Question: Discuss the concept of logistics and explain its various types/forms.
Meaning of Logistics
"In business, logistics is the management of the flow of things between the point of origin and the point of consumption to meet the requirements of customers or corporations."
The term originates from the Greek logos meaning order and the French loger meaning the art of war for movement and supply of armies. The Babylonians around 2000 BC were the first to create a military corps for supply and storage.
Types of Logistics
- Business Logistics — Part of the supply chain process that plans, implements and controls the efficient flow and storage of goods, services and related information from point of origin to point of consumption to meet customer requirements.
- Military Logistics — Design and integration of all aspects of support for operational capability of military forces and equipment, ensuring readiness, reliability and efficiency in the transfer of personnel and material.
- Event Logistics — Network of activities, facilities and personnel required to organise, schedule and deploy resources for any event, including post-event clean-up and disposal.
- Service Logistics — Encompasses acquisition, scheduling and management of facilities, assets, personnel and material to support and sustain a service operation or business.
Forms of Logistics
- Procurement logistics — flow of raw materials and parts from suppliers for manufacturing.
- Production logistics — materials management, product management, packaging and shipping inside a factory.
- Sales logistics — delivery of products from warehouses to wholesalers, retailers and consumers.
- Recovery/reverse logistics — recovering and recycling products, containers and packaging after use.
- Recycling logistics — recovery and recycling of empty cans, plastic bottles, old paper and similar items.
Conclusion: Logistics evolved from its military origins into a key business function covering business, military, event and service logistics. The five forms — procurement, production, sales, recovery and recycling — ensure efficient flow of materials from origin to consumption.
Sample 2 · Q5 Logistics Management Cycle
Question: "The Logistics Management Cycle has key interrelated activities." Discuss the activities of the cycle.
Meaning of Logistics Management Cycle
"Logistics management is a component of supply chain management that attempts to meet the demands of customers through better planning, control and implementation of effective movement and storage of goods and services from point of origin to destination. It has cyclical operations with key interrelated activities that fulfil the seven rights of logistics."
The goal is to fulfil the seven rights — right product, quantity, condition, place, customer, time and price.
Components / Activities of the Cycle
- Serving Customers — First activity — the process between buyer, seller and a third party, comprising pre-transaction, transaction and post-transaction elements to ensure loyalty and commodity security.
- Product Selection — Decision process to select product concepts. Investments cover new products, expansion, diversification and business integration.
- Forecasting, Quantification and Procurement — Forecasting estimates quantities for a period; quantification estimates quantity and cost; procurement obtains supplies through a transparent process; supply plans counter risks of stock-outs and expiry.
- Inventory Management, Storage and Distribution — Inventory control prevents shortages and oversupply using max-min systems, safety stock and lead-time stock. Storage ensures quality and shelf life.
- Information for Decision-making — Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) is the heart of the cycle — collects, organises and reports data through stock keeping, transaction and consumption records.
- Quality Assurance and Monitoring — Carried out between every two activities — product selection to forecasting, procurement to storage, inventory to customers, and customers back to product selection.
Conclusion: The logistics management cycle is circular, with each activity interdependent on the others. Effective execution of these six activities, supported by LMIS, ensures fulfilment of the seven rights and customer satisfaction.
Sample 3 · Q7 Material Handling
Question: "Industrial material handling equipment involves a diverse range of appliances, tools and accessories." Discuss the significance, systems and equipment of material handling.
Meaning of Material Handling
"Material handling is concerned with the movement of right material to the right place, in right time and in right condition. It includes the movement, storage, control and protection of materials, products and packaged goods throughout the process of manufacturing, distribution and disposal."
Significance
- Improving the operational efficiency of the company.
- Ensuring better control of the flow of material.
- Providing better response to customers through improved service delivery.
- Promoting safety in material handling; reduces damage and inventory costs.
Material Handling Systems — Principles
- Planning, Unitization, Systems integration and Simplification.
- Ergonomics, Standardisation and Space Utilisation.
- Automation, Environment-friendliness and Safety.
Categories of Material Handling Equipment
- Storage Equipment — Usually non-automated — racks (pallet, push-back, sliding), stacking frames, shelves with bins and drawers, and mezzanines for indoor floor space.
- Engineered Systems — Cohesive automated units — conveyors (horizontal/vertical movement), Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS).
- Industrial Trucks — Manual or powered trucks — Automated Guided Vehicles, Automated Electrified Monorail and Storing Transfer Vehicles.
- Bulk Handling Equipment — Conveyors, stackers, recliners, bucket elevators, grain elevators, hoppers and silos for bulk materials like food, liquid or metals.
Conclusion: Material handling is integral to manufacturing, ensuring right movement of right material at the right time. Four equipment categories — storage, engineered systems, industrial trucks and bulk handling — support efficiency, safety and inventory control.
Sample 4 · Q10 Logistics Information System
Question: Explain the role of Logistics Information System (LIS) and describe its key components and technology applications.
Meaning of LIS
"Logistics Information System (LIS) is a system of records and reports whether paper-based or electronic, used to aggregate, analyse, validate and display data from all levels of the logistics system that can be used to make logistics decisions and manage the supply chain."
Role of LIS
- Transforms logistics functional operations into a process aimed at customer satisfaction at lowest cost.
- Provides information on goods and tracks their delivery status.
- Helps comply with regulations and international standards for sharing logistics information.
- Enables manufacturers and traders to monitor whether products arrive on time and in proper condition.
- Provides transporters with progress and status of the means of transport.
- Gives customs and security authorities details of goods content and transport means.
Benefits of LIS
- Improvement in customer service and satisfaction.
- Establishing communication within the logistics chain.
- Reduction in stock levels and costs of transportation and storage.
- Synchronising the processes of supply, production and distribution.
- Reduction of documentation in supply chain management.
Key Components of LIS
- Logistics Information Portal — Single entry point for accessing logistics data across functions.

- Decision Support System & Database — Tools for data-driven decisions and centralised storage.
- E-Logistics and E-Commerce — Internet-based application of logistics processes.
- Software Applications — CRM, ERP, RFID Tags, Transport Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Conclusion: LIS is the brain of modern logistics — converting data to information, supporting decisions and integrating supplier-customer operations. Its components and technologies like RFID, ERP, CRM and EDI together enable supply chain efficiency and competitive advantage.
Sample 5 · Q12 Green Logistics
Question: "Green logistics is a new concept that poses its own challenges." Describe key green logistics strategies and examine the challenges in implementing them.
Meaning of Green Logistics
"Green logistics is concerned with the systematic measurement, analysis and minimising of the ecological impact of logistics. It is associated with green inventory management, green facility location, environmental regulations, responsible purchasing and principles of eco-design."
Objectives of Green Logistics
- Measure the carbon footprint of logistics operations.
- Reduce air, soil, water and noise pollution from transport activities.
- Use supplies judiciously by reusing containers and recycling packaging.
- Design products and packaging to minimise environmental impact.
Green Logistics Strategies
- Green Purchasing — Materials and products meet environmental yardsticks — supplier selection on environmental criteria, ISO 14000 preference, and the 3Rs of reduce, reuse, recycle.
- Green Manufacturing — Sound production processes that reduce resource consumption, generate little or no waste, and use innovative environmental technologies.
- Green Distribution — Integration of environmental issues into packaging, transportation and logistics — eco-friendly packaging, order consolidation and route optimisation.
- Eco-Design — Reduces material/energy consumption, reuses/recycles components and avoids hazardous materials over the product life cycle.
- Reverse Logistics — Retrieving products for reuse, recycling and remanufacturing — collection, inspection, cleaning, sorting and redistribution.
Challenges in Implementing Green Logistics
- Reliance on fossil fuels with limited fuel alternatives.
- Rising urban traffic due to e-commerce deliveries.
- Lack of infrastructure support and stricter emission regulations.
- Increased spending for logistics automation and equipment.
- Rising costs of new technologies and policies.
- Reduced speed and flexibility versus conventional SCM.
- Lack of awareness and weak top-management commitment.
Conclusion: Green logistics blends environmental and logistics management through strategies of green purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, eco-design and reverse logistics. Despite challenges of cost, infrastructure and awareness, government, firms, customers and employees must collaborate for a sustainable future.

| P2 | Six session frequency analysis table All units · Pages 19–21 | Summarised below |
Note the unit column. Every one of the twelve questions maps to a separate unit of the BPAS-184 syllabus, with Units 1 through 11 all represented. Units 12 and 13 sit outside the twelve because they surface almost exclusively as 5 mark short notes, and we handle those differently in the study plan section of the file.
How We Built the BPAS 184 Guess Paper from Past Papers
We started from the question papers, not from the textbook. Six BPAS-184 term end papers were laid out side by side, from June 2023 through to December 2025, and every question was tagged to its unit before a single answer was drafted.
That order of work matters. Most guess papers are built by summarising the syllabus and hoping the exam agrees. We did the opposite. A topic only entered the list once we could point to the session it appeared in, which is why the tables on this page name specific sessions rather than making vague claims about importance.
The December 2025 paper was the last one folded in, and it changed two of our priorities. Supply chain management tools and the logistics management cycle both reappeared in that session, which pushed them up the list. Anyone still revising off a 2024 vintage BPAS 184 Question paper analysis is working from a stale picture.
You do not have to take our reading on trust either. IGNOU hosts the recent papers itself, and the June 2025 BPAS-184 question paper is worth opening alongside this page.
The same applies to the session that shaped our final priorities. The December 2025 BPAS-184 question paper is published on ignou.ac.in, and every session label in our tables can be checked against it.
Answers were then written strictly from the IGNOU self learning material authored by Rajive Kohli under course editor Uma Medury. Where the textbook gives a count, such as the seven rights or the five gaps, the answer keeps that count. Evaluators are marking against the same book, and inventing extra points to look thorough is one of the quieter ways students lose marks in BPAS-184.
Repeat Frequency of BPAS 184 Topics Across Six Sessions
Customer satisfaction has appeared in all six of the last six BPAS-184 sessions, making it the single most repeated topic in the course. Green logistics and material handling follow closely with five appearances each.
The table below counts appearances across June 2023, December 2023, June 2024, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025. Priority is assigned on a fixed rule so you can audit it: four or more appearances is High, two to three is Medium, and a single appearance is Watch.
| Question | Sessions it appeared in | Count | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q11 Customer satisfaction | Jun 23, Dec 23, Jun 24, Dec 24, Jun 25, Dec 25 | 6 | High |
| Q5 Logistics management cycle | Jun 23, Dec 23, Jun 24, Dec 24, Dec 25 | 5 | High |
| Q7 Material handling | Jun 23, Dec 23, Jun 24, Jun 25, Dec 25 | 5 | High |
| Q12 Green logistics | Dec 23, Jun 24, Dec 24, Jun 25, Dec 25 | 5 | High |
| Q4 SCM tools and challenges | Jun 23, Jun 24, Dec 24, Dec 25 | 4 | High |
| Q3 Scope and importance | Dec 23, Jun 24, Dec 24 | 3 | Medium |
| Q6 Procurement and inventory control | Dec 24, Jun 25, Dec 25 | 3 | Medium |
| Q9 Information flow and processing | Jun 23, Jun 25, Dec 25 | 3 | Medium |
| Q10 Logistics information system | Dec 23, Dec 24, Jun 25 | 3 | Medium |
| Q1 Logistics concept and types | Jun 24, Jun 25 | 2 | Medium |
| Q8 Transportation modes and documents | Jun 24, Dec 24 | 2 | Medium |
| Q2 Principles, activities, classification | Dec 25 | 1 | Watch |
Read the Watch label carefully rather than skipping it. Q2 appeared in December 2025, which is exactly why it stays in the file. A topic that has just been examined is unlikely to return immediately, but IGNOU has repeated adjacent framings within a year on this course before, and dropping a topic entirely on one data point is how students get caught out.
If you want to run this check yourself for other courses, our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper collection is organised by course code and session, which is where this analysis started.
BPAS 184 Blocks and Units Covered by This Guess Paper
BPAS-184 Logistics Management is a 4 credit Skill Enhancement Course built from 3 blocks and 13 units, and this guess paper draws from all three blocks. The table below is the official structure as published on IGNOU's eGyanKosh repository.
| Block and unit | Unit title | Question in this file |
|---|---|---|
| Block 1 · Unit 1 Introduction to Logistics Management | Logistics: Concept, Principles and Forms | Q1 and Q2 |
| Block 1 · Unit 2 Introduction to Logistics Management | Logistics Management: Conceptual Framework, Scope and Importance | Q3 |
| Block 1 · Unit 3 Introduction to Logistics Management | Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Inter relationship | Q4 |
| Block 1 · Unit 4 Introduction to Logistics Management | Logistics Management Cycle | Q5 |
| Block 2 · Unit 5 Logistics Management: Components | Procurement of Material and Inventory Control | Q6 |
| Block 2 · Unit 6 Logistics Management: Components | Material Handling and Packaging | Q7 |
| Block 2 · Unit 7 Logistics Management: Components | Transportation, Warehousing and Storage | Q8 |
| Block 2 · Unit 8 Logistics Management: Components | Information Monitoring | Q9 |
| Block 2 · Unit 9 Logistics Management: Components | Logistics Information System | Q10 |
| Block 3 · Unit 10 Logistics Management: Emerging Trends | Customer Satisfaction | Q11 |
| Block 3 · Unit 11 Logistics Management: Emerging Trends | Green Logistics | Q12 |
| Block 3 · Unit 12 Logistics Management: Emerging Trends | Outsourcing Logistics Management: Issues | Short note zone |
| Block 3 · Unit 13 Logistics Management: Emerging Trends | Effective Logistics Management: Challenges | Short note zone |
Units 12 and 13 are labelled short note zones for a reason worth explaining. Outsourcing logistics management appeared as a 5 mark short note in December 2024, and challenges to effective logistics has surfaced the same way. Neither has carried a full 10 mark question in recent memory, so preparing 250 word answers for them wastes revision time you do not have.
BPAS-184 is offered as an elective across several bachelor programmes, so the same file serves students in Bachelor of Arts (General) (BAG), Bachelor of Arts (Honours/Major), and Bachelor of Arts (Vocational Studies). Students hunting for a broader BAG guess Paper set across their other elective codes can ask for the combined bundle instead.
BPAS 184 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme You Must Know
The BPAS-184 term end paper carries 50 marks in 2 hours, with eight questions split across two sections, and you answer any five including at least two from each section. This is printed on the instruction line of the paper itself and has held steady across recent sessions.
Five answers at 10 marks each gives you the full 50. Questions 4 and 8 are usually the split ones, offering two short notes of 5 marks apiece rather than a single long answer. The official instruction asks for roughly 300 words per 10 mark answer and about 150 words for each short note.
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| Total marks | 50 |
| Duration | 2 hours |
| Questions printed | 8, across Section I and Section II |
| Questions to attempt | Any 5, minimum 2 from each section |
| Marks per question | 10, sometimes split as 5 plus 5 |
| Word guidance | About 300 words for 10 marks and 150 for a short note |
| Working time per answer | Roughly 22 minutes including planning |
| Section labels seen | Section I and II, or Section A and B depending on session |
One practical warning about that time budget. Two hours for five 300 word answers leaves almost no room for a slow start, so the students who do well are the ones who already know the shape of each answer before they read the question. That is the entire argument for using a solved guess paper rather than a summary sheet.
Who Should Use the BPAS 184 Solved Guess Paper
This file suits students who understand the BPAS-184 syllabus reasonably well but cannot afford the weeks it takes to write practice answers for every unit. It is a revision and answer writing aid, not a replacement for the IGNOU study material.
It works particularly well for three groups. Working students revising in the evenings, who need to know what to skip as much as what to study. Students who have already read the blocks and now need the answers structured into exam shape. And backlog students clearing BPAS-184 alongside other papers, where time per subject is genuinely scarce.
It is a poor fit if you have not opened the textbook at all. The answers assume you recognise terms like inbound logistics or the seven rights, and a student meeting those for the first time in an exam hall will struggle to expand them naturally. Read the units first, then use this to convert that reading into marks.
How to Get the Complete BPAS 184 Guess Paper with Answers

BPAS 184 Guess Paper Questions Students Ask Us Most
Is the BPAS 184 guess paper enough to pass Logistics Management on its own?
It is enough for most students who have already read the units at least once. The twelve questions cover Units 1 to 11 and map to every topic that has carried a 10 mark question in the last six sessions. What it deliberately does not do is teach the subject from scratch, so pair it with the IGNOU blocks if you have not opened them yet.
How many questions does the BPAS 184 solved guess paper actually contain?
Twelve questions, each with a complete written answer of around 250 words. Five of those twelve are printed in full on this page so you can assess the writing before asking for the rest. The other seven arrive with the same structure of definition, numbered points and conclusion, along with the study plan and frequency analysis pages.
Which sessions is this BPAS 184 Logistics Management guess paper valid for?
It targets the June 2026 and December 2026 term end examinations. The analysis behind it runs from June 2023 through December 2025, so the most recent paper folded into our reading is the December 2025 session. IGNOU has kept the BPAS-184 pattern and section structure stable right across those six sessions, which is why the question shapes in this file should continue to hold for both 2026 sittings.
Does the BPAS 184 guess paper guarantee the exact questions in the exam?
No, and anyone promising that is not being straight with you. This is a probability exercise built on six sessions of repeat data, not access to an unreleased paper. What it does reliably is concentrate your revision on the topics that have repeatedly carried marks in BPAS-184, and give you finished answers for them. That is a very different claim, and a far more honest one.
Is the BPAS 184 guess paper available in Hindi medium as well?
Ask us when you message and we will confirm current availability for your session. IGNOU sets BPAS-184 in both English and Hindi, and the question topics are identical across both mediums, so the frequency analysis on this page applies either way. Mention your medium in your first WhatsApp message so we send the correct file.
How is this different from a BPAS 184 previous year question paper?
A previous year paper shows you what was asked and then stops there. This file takes six of those BPAS-184 papers, counts what actually repeated across them, and supplies complete written answers for the topics that survived that filter. You still want past papers for timing practice under exam conditions, so treat the two as companions rather than as alternatives to each other.
Are the BPAS 184 answers written from the official IGNOU study material?
Yes, every answer is written from the IGNOU BPAS-184 self learning material. Where the textbook fixes a count, such as the seven rights of logistics or the five customer satisfaction gaps, the answer keeps that exact count. Evaluators mark against the same book, so answers that drift into outside content tend to score lower rather than higher.
What is the BPAS 184 marking scheme for the term end examination?
The paper carries 50 marks over 2 hours. Eight questions are printed across two sections and you attempt any five of them, taking at least two from each section. Each question is worth 10 marks, though questions 4 and 8 are frequently split into two short notes of 5 marks each. The word guidance is roughly 300 words for a full answer and 150 for a short note.
