Course Overview

BEVAE 181 Solved Guess Paper is what most Environmental Studies students go looking for about three weeks before the Term End Examination, usually after they open the study material and realise fourteen units is a lot of reading for a two-hour objective paper. This page carries our 2026 edition. It holds 50 multiple choice questions, each one with the correct option marked and a short reason explaining why that option is correct and the other three are not.

We are not going to pretend this is a leaked paper, because it is not. It is a prediction set. We read five years of BEVAE 181 papers plus the December 2025 paper, tracked which facts IGNOU keeps circling back to, and rebuilt those facts as fresh MCQs in the exact format the OMR sheet expects.

What the BEVAE 181 Solved Guess Paper for 2026 Actually Contains

The file is a 16 page PDF holding 50 MCQs, each printed with its four options, the correct answer marked in green and a one line reason in blue. Question, options, answer and explanation all sit together on the same screen, so you never scroll to a separate answer key and lose your place.

The four blocks are kept in syllabus order, so Q1 to Q12 come from environment and ecosystems, Q13 to Q25 from natural resources, Q26 to Q40 from environmental issues and Q41 to Q50 from policies and ethics. A single page answer grid sits at the back for the night before the exam, when reading explanations is no longer realistic and you just want to test recall.

Students who want the same treatment for their other papers can browse our full IGNOU Solved Guess Paper collection, which is organised by course code the same way this one is.

BEVAE 181 Guess Paper Sample Questions with Answers and Explanations

Five of the 50 questions are reproduced below exactly as they appear in the PDF, one from each major theme, so you can judge the answer quality before you ask for the rest. Nothing has been simplified for the website. What you read here is what you get in the file.

Block 1 ยท Sustainable Development

Sample 1. How many goals are there under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

  • (1) 9
  • (2) 15
  • (3) 17
  • (4) 8

โœ“ Answer: (3) 17

๐Ÿ’ก Why: The 2030 Agenda adopted in 2015 lists 17 SDGs with 169 targets.

Block 2 ยท Aquatic Ecosystem

Sample 2. An example of a lotic ecosystem is:

  • (1) Lake
  • (2) River
  • (3) Swamp
  • (4) Pool

โœ“ Answer: (2) River

๐Ÿ’ก Why: Lotic = flowing water. A river flows; lakes and pools are lentic.

Block 3 ยท Air Pollutants

Sample 3. Which one of the following is a SECONDARY pollutant?

  • (1) Sulphur dioxide
  • (2) Carbon monoxide
  • (3) Hydrocarbons
  • (4) Ozone

โœ“ Answer: (4) Ozone

๐Ÿ’ก Why: Tropospheric ozone is formed in the atmosphere from NOโ‚“ and VOCs โ€” a secondary pollutant.

Block 3 ยท Biodiversity Hotspots

Sample 4. Which of the following is NOT correct about biological hotspots?

  • (1) Extremely rich in species
  • (2) High endemism
  • (3) Under constant threat
  • (4) Cover 5% of the Earth's surface

โœ“ Answer: (4) Cover 5% of the Earth's surface

๐Ÿ’ก Why: Hotspots cover only about 2.4% of Earth's land โ€” not 5%.

Block 4 ยท Constitution

Sample 5. Environmental protection provisions in the Indian Constitution are made under:

  • (1) Articles 45A and 48A
  • (2) Articles 21B and 51A
  • (3) Articles 27B and 30A
  • (4) Articles 48A and 51A

โœ“ Answer: (4) Articles 48A and 51A

๐Ÿ’ก Why: Article 48A (DPSP) and 51A(g) (Fundamental Duty) โ€” added by 42nd Amendment, 1976.

Notice what the explanation does in Sample 4. It does not just say the statement is wrong, it gives you 2.4 per cent, which is the number an examiner can flip into a different question next session. That is the whole design principle behind the remaining 45 answers.

How This BEVAE 181 Solved Guess Paper Was Built from Five Years of Papers

We worked backwards from five years of BEVAE 181 question papers, ending with the December 2025 paper, and kept only the facts that reappeared across multiple sessions. Nothing in the file was written from the study material alone.

The method was ordinary and slow. Every MCQ from those sittings was typed into a sheet and tagged by unit and by fact type, so authors sat in one bucket, exact numbers in another, Acts and Articles in a third. Facts appearing in three or more sessions were marked as core. Those became the backbone of the 50 questions.

Then came the rewriting. An examiner rarely repeats a question word for word, but the underlying fact survives. If one session asked who chaired the Brundtland Commission, the next may ask what its report was titled. So each core fact was rebuilt into the phrasing most likely to appear next, which is why our questions look familiar without being copies.

The explanations were written last, by someone who had already marked assignments in this subject and knew where students guess wrong. Anyone who prefers to verify the frequency claims independently can work through the raw papers in our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper archive and count the repeats themselves.

BEVAE 181 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme for June and December 2026

BEVAE 181 is an objective paper of 50 marks written in 2 hours, made up of 50 compulsory questions of one mark each, answered only on an OMR sheet. Every question offers four alternatives of which one is correct.

The official instruction sheet adds a detail many students miss. If you believe none of the four alternatives is correct, you are told to write 0 and mark the corresponding column rather than leave the row blank. The paper is printed bilingually in English and Hindi, so the medium you write in is your own choice. These details are printed on IGNOU's own December 2025 BEVAE 181 question paper, which is worth opening once before you sit the exam.

Separately, the tutor marked assignment carries 30 per cent weightage in continuous evaluation and is marked out of 100, with 35 per cent needed to pass it. Submitting it is compulsory before you are eligible to appear for the Term End Examination. Students comparing the objective format across sessions often pull up the year wise BEVAE 181 Question paper set alongside this guess paper.

One practical note on timing. Fifty MCQs in 120 minutes gives you roughly 2 minutes and 24 seconds per question, which sounds generous until you meet the NOT questions and the numeric ones. Most students who run short of time lose it in Block 3.

BEVAE 181 Environmental Studies Block and Unit Index

The BEVAE 181 syllabus runs across 4 blocks and 14 units, and our guess paper draws from every one of them. The table below lists the official unit titles with the specific topics inside each unit that our question set actually tests.

BEVAE 181 has no practical file or laboratory component, so there is no experiment index to publish here. The 14 units above are the complete examinable ground. Students mapping this against their overall degree structure usually keep a BAG Question Paper reference open at the same time.

Block Wise Question Spread Inside the BEVAE 181 Guess Paper

The 50 questions split as 12 from Block 1, 13 from Block 2, 15 from Block 3 and 10 from Block 4, which mirrors how the weight has fallen in recent sittings. Block 3 is deliberately the heaviest.

How the 50 questions in the BEVAE 181 guess paper are distributed across the four blocks
BlockQuestion rangeCountWhy this weight
Block 1Q1 to Q1212Definitions and named authors sit here, and they are the cheapest marks in the paper if you have memorised them
Block 2Q13 to Q2513Energy and soil questions repeat heavily, and the conventional versus nonconventional split alone has produced several past MCQs
Block 3Q26 to Q4015Pollution, waste and biodiversity together dominate recent papers, and this is also where the NOT phrasing appears most often
Block 4Q41 to Q5010Fewer questions but the highest accuracy rate available, because Articles, Acts and mission counts are fixed and unambiguous

High Frequency BEVAE 181 Important Questions That Keep Returning

Four fact families produce a disproportionate share of BEVAE 181 marks, and every one of them is a number, a name or a legal citation. If revision time collapses, these are what survive the cut.

Exact counts come first. Seventeen SDGs, eight NAPCC missions, four Indian biodiversity hotspots, 2.4 per cent of land surface. Examiners love these because a wrong option is easy to manufacture. Simply changing 17 to 15 makes a complete question, which is why the number itself must be memorised rather than reasoned out.

Named people and named reports come second. Tansley and the word ecosystem, Gro Harlem Brundtland and Our Common Future, Rio de Janeiro and 1992. Third are the legal citations, mainly Articles 48A and 51A and the 42nd Amendment of 1976. Fourth is the NOT question, which reverses the logic and catches students reading at speed.

Our BEVAE 181 Important Questions selection is weighted towards those four families rather than spread evenly, because an even spread would waste your time on material the examiner has ignored for five years.

Who the BEVAE 181 Environmental Studies Guess Paper Is Built For

This file suits students with two to four weeks left who need to pass BEVAE 181 comfortably rather than read all 14 units end to end. It is a revision and prediction tool, not a replacement for the IGNOU study material.

BEVAE 181 is an Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course, which means it turns up in BAG, BCOMG, BSCG and the BA Vocational Studies stream, and the same paper is written across all of them. Arts students who also want their optional papers covered tend to pick up a BA guess Paper bundle in the same conversation.

Commerce students are the second largest group we hear from, usually in their first semester and usually surprised that an environment paper is compulsory at all. For them the same prediction method is applied across the accounting and business papers in our BCom guess Paper set.

It is a poor fit for one type of student. If you have a full month and you genuinely enjoy the subject, read the units. The guess paper will still help in the final week, but you will not need it the way a working student with three papers in nine days needs it.

How to Get the Complete BEVAE 181 Guess Paper with Answers

Send us a WhatsApp message on 9899436384 mentioning BEVAE 181 and we will share the pricing and the complete 50 question PDF details. The five samples above stay open on this page permanently so you can check quality first.

We keep the remaining 45 questions off the public page for a plain reason. The prediction work is the product. Publishing all 50 openly means the set is scraped and reposted within a week, and the students who actually paid lose the advantage they paid for.

Science students in BSCG who need the same treatment for their core papers can ask about the BSc guess Paper range while messaging about this one, since it is the same conversation and the same delivery.

Computer applications students sit a different environment paper in most schemes, so check your own course code before ordering. If your programme is BCA, the relevant material sits in our BCA guess Paper collection instead of this page.

BEVAE 181 Guess Paper Questions Students Ask Us

Is the BEVAE 181 Solved Guess Paper valid for both June 2026 and December 2026?

Yes, the same file covers both 2026 sessions. IGNOU conducts BEVAE 181 in the June and December Term End Examinations, and the syllabus of 4 blocks and 14 units stays identical across both. The question set was built from multi session frequency patterns rather than a single sitting, so it does not expire between June and December. We revise it only when the syllabus itself changes.

How many BEVAE 181 questions are shown on this page without contacting you?

Five complete questions are shown at no cost, each with its four options, the correct answer and the explanation. They are Samples 1 to 5 in the section above and cover Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4. The remaining 45 questions come with the full PDF after you message us. We show five rather than one so you can judge explanation quality across different question types.

Will the exact BEVAE 181 questions from this guess paper appear in the exam?

No, and any seller promising that is not being honest with you. This is a prediction set built from five years of BEVAE 181 papers plus December 2025. What repeats is the underlying fact, not the wording. A question asking who chaired the Brundtland Commission may return as a question about its report title. Learning the fact rather than the sentence is what actually converts into marks.

Is BEVAE 181 Environmental Studies a fully MCQ based paper?

Yes, the BEVAE 181 Term End Examination is entirely objective. It carries 50 questions of one mark each, runs for 2 hours and is answered on an OMR sheet with four alternatives per question. All questions are compulsory. The paper is printed in both English and Hindi. Descriptive writing appears only in the tutor marked assignment, which is a separate 100 mark submission.

Does the BEVAE 181 guess paper cover the assignment as well?

No, this file covers the Term End Examination only. The BEVAE 181 assignment is descriptive, carries 30 per cent weightage in continuous evaluation and is marked out of 100 with 35 per cent needed to pass. Because the formats differ completely, we keep solved assignments as a separate product. Message us if you need both and we will quote them together.

Does BEVAE 181 have a practical file or project component?

No, BEVAE 181 has no practical file, laboratory work or experiment record. The course is assessed through one objective Term End Examination of 50 marks and one tutor marked assignment of 100 marks. This is why the index on this page lists blocks and units rather than experiments. Students sometimes confuse it with science core papers in BSCG, which do carry practical components.

Which programmes need the BEVAE 181 Environmental Studies paper?

BEVAE 181 is an Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course, so it appears across BAG, BCOMG, BSCG and the BA Vocational Studies streams. The December 2025 paper was set jointly for BA, B.Com, B.Sc and BA Vocational Studies in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. Everyone writes the same paper regardless of programme, so this single guess paper serves all of them.

In what format and how quickly is the BEVAE 181 guess paper delivered?

It is delivered as a 16 page PDF readable on any phone, tablet or laptop, with no printing required. Delivery happens over WhatsApp on 9899436384 once your order is confirmed, usually within the same working day. The layout keeps question, options, answer and explanation on one screen, and a single page answer grid sits at the back for last minute revision.
