Value Highlights

MMPC 002 Solved Guess Paper gives 30 exam-ready answers with block, unit and priority tags on every single question.
Answers sized to the marks: about 450 words for a 20-mark answer and about 250 words for each 10-mark short note.
Author-named definitions from Flippo, Dessler and Beach open every answer, so the first two lines already earn marks.
Six real Term End papers from December 2023 to June 2026 were read question by question before this list was fixed.
Priority bands of high, medium and low tell you exactly what to learn first when only two evenings are left before the paper.
A two or three line conclusion closes every answer, which is the closing habit IGNOU evaluators reward most consistently.
Topics printed outside the MMPC-002 blocks are listed separately, so you stop losing evenings on content that is not there.
Delivered as one clean PDF on WhatsApp 9899436384, readable on any phone, with no app, no login and no subscription needed.

Course Overview

MMPC 002 Solved Guess Paper is our exam-ready question bank for IGNOU Human Resource Management, built from six real Term End Examination papers and written as 30 complete model answers across 34 pages. Every question carries its block and unit tag, a priority rating and the exact sessions in which it has already been asked, so your revision follows the paper and not the whole book.

MMPC-002 is a four-credit core paper of Semester 1 in the IGNOU MBA and its specialisations. The paper is theory only. Marks come from the definition you open with, the count of points you keep intact and the conclusion you close with. That is exactly how the 30 answers in this file have been drafted by our management faculty.

Searches for IGNOU MMPC-002 important questions usually end in a list of topic names with no answers under them. This file is the opposite of that list, since every topic named here carries a written answer of the length the marks demand.

This page is written for the student who has already opened the block and found 264 pages staring back. You do not need all of it. You need the fourteen or fifteen topics that keep returning, in the words an IGNOU evaluator is trained to tick.

30 solved questions, 34 pages, 4 blocks, 14 units, 6 sessions analysed, 100 marks, 3 hours, attempt any five. Those eight numbers are the whole product in one line.

1. What is inside the MMPC 002 Solved Guess Paper

The file holds 30 IGNOU-style questions with full model answers, each mapped to its block, unit, priority band and last-appeared sessions. Nothing in it is a heading with a promise under it. Every one of the 30 carries a written answer you can reproduce in the hall.

Answers are written in plain English because that is what most MBA learners at IGNOU actually need at 11 pm the night before the paper. Long sentences get cut. Lists stay numbered. Definitions carry the author name the evaluator is looking for, such as Flippo, Decenzo and Robbins, Keith Davis, Dessler, Beach and Yoder.

Eight things the file gives you

Three things are deliberately absent. There is no general HR textbook material, because evaluators here mark against IGNOU's own blocks. There is no filler theory copied from the internet. And there is no question without an answer under it.

If you also want the wider set for other papers of your programme, our IGNOU Solved Guess Paper library carries the same format across other course codes of the Management Programme.

2. Sample questions with answers from the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper

Five of the 30 answers are printed below in full, one from each part of the syllabus, so you can judge the writing before you pay anything. These are not trimmed teasers. They are the same answers that sit inside the PDF, with the same headings, the same counts and the same conclusions.

Read one of them the way an evaluator reads it. Look at where the definition sits, how the points are numbered, and how the last two lines land. That structure is the product. The information is available in the block; the shape is what earns marks.

Concept, scope and objectives of HRM

Q. Explain the concept of Human Resource Management (HRM). Describe its scope and objectives.

What is HRM

HRM is the process of acquiring, developing, maintaining and retaining human resources in an organisation with the strategic objective of achieving organisational goals. Among the five Ms of management, that is men, money, machines, materials and methods, HRM deals with the first M. In simple words it is the work of getting the right people, keeping them happy and using their talent well.

Edwin B. Flippo describes human resource management as the planning, organising, directing and controlling of the procurement and development of resources, to the end that individual and societal objectives are accomplished. The three words carry separate meanings. Human means the workforce an organisation needs, resource means the supply of that workforce, and management means using resources in the best way to reach organisational goals.

Scope of HRM

According to Dale Yoder the scope of HRM is very wide. The Indian Institute of Personnel Management has described it under three aspects.

  1. The labour or personnel aspect: manpower planning, recruitment, selection, placement, induction, transfer, promotion, demotion, termination, training and development, layoff and retrenchment, wage and salary administration, incentives and productivity.
  2. The welfare aspect: working conditions and amenities such as canteens, creches, rest rooms, housing, transport, education, medical help, health and safety, recreation and cultural facilities.
  3. The industrial relations aspect: union and management relations, joint consultation, negotiating, collective bargaining, grievance handling, disciplinary action and settlement of industrial disputes.

Objectives of HRM

The primary objective is to make certain the provision of competent human resources so that organisational objectives are reached. The objectives are four fold.

  1. Societal objectives: to be socially and ethically responsible for the needs and challenges of society while reducing the negative effect of those demands on the organisation.
  2. Organisational objectives: HRM is not an end in itself, it is a means to help the organisation reach its main goals. The HR department exists to serve the rest of the organisation.
  3. Functional objectives: to keep the department's contribution at a level that suits the organisation's needs, since the level of service must fit the organisation it serves.
  4. Personal objectives: to help employees reach their personal goals, because when these are not met, performance and satisfaction fall and turnover rises.

Scott, Clothier and Spriegal add that the objective of HRM is to obtain maximum individual development and desirable working relationships between employers and employees.

Conclusion: HRM is a strategic way to acquire, motivate, develop and manage people. Its scope covers personnel, welfare and industrial relations, and its objectives work at four levels, societal, organisational, functional and personal.

Artificial intelligence and HRM

Q. Explain how artificial intelligence is going to evolve new HRM functions, citing examples. Discuss its benefits and the care needed in adopting it.

Science and technology are changing both personal and professional life, and artificial intelligence is the concept growing fastest among them. The term was first coined by John McCarthy in 1956. It is no longer a product of science fiction, and its use in every profession has made it a compulsory part of human resource management too.

In technical terms artificial intelligence is a technology that processes and generates results based on previously collected data or previously made transactions. Amazon defines it as the field of computer science dedicated to solving cognitive problems commonly associated with human intelligence, such as learning, problem solving and pattern recognition. HRM is a function where such algorithms fit well, because most of its processes are repetitive and data heavy.

Key areas of AI in HR

  1. Recruitment and onboarding: AI gives a friendly application process, reduces unnecessary bulk applications, rediscovers the right talent from an existing database, and cuts recruitment time and cost. Onboarding can then start outside office hours, at any time and place, through chatbot databases.
  2. Employee retention and internal mobility: personalised feedback surveys and recognition systems assess performance accurately and give feedback on time, which lifts engagement and job satisfaction and supports internal movement.
  3. Automation of administrative jobs: repetitive, less technical and clerical work is automated, so the HR manager can spend time on strategic work instead.

Care needed in adoption

AI arrives as part of the wider fourth industrial revolution, along with robotics, quantum computing, the Internet of Things, 3-D printing and driverless vehicles. Such a drastic change brings threats as well as benefits.

Automation causes disruption and resistance, so the HR department must invest in sensitising employees and changing behaviour so that people accept the new world of work. HR professionals must prepare to adopt artificial intelligence with utmost efficacy rather than adopt it blindly.

Conclusion: AI is reshaping recruitment, onboarding, retention and routine administration in HR. Used with preparation and employee sensitisation it frees the HR manager for strategic work, and used without care it creates disruption and resistance.

Job analysis as the foundation of HR functions

Q. "Job analysis is the foundation upon which all other HR functions are built." Justify this statement by explaining the salient features and different methods of conducting job analysis.

Concept of job analysis

Job analysis is a systematic process of gathering information about work, jobs and the relationships between jobs. In its simplest terms it is a systematic process for gathering, documenting and analysing data about the work required for a job. It is the fundamental process that forms the basis of all human resource activities.

A job analysis gives an objective picture of the job and not of the person doing the job. It supports recruitment, training, development, performance management and succession planning.

It serves two critical functions. It helps ensure that HR decisions are fair and accurate, and it helps ensure that such decisions can be defended before employees and the courts, saving cost, time and reputation. Henderson in 1979 defined a job as work consisting of responsibilities and duties that are sufficiently alike to justify being covered by a single job analysis.

Importance of job analysis

Job analysis was once the backbone of scientific management, and its importance rose again for two reasons. The first is unfair discrimination in hiring standards and testing procedures, since without job analysis the standards may look arbitrary. The second is comparable worth, that is equal pay for people who hold different jobs but do work comparable in knowledge or responsibility.

Aspects of a job to be analysed

  1. Duties and tasks: frequency, duration, effort, skill, complexity, equipment and standards.
  2. Environment: conditions such as extreme temperatures which may pose a definite risk.
  3. Tools and equipment: items needed to perform tasks, such as protective clothing.
  4. Relationships: supervision given and received, and relations with internal or external people.
  5. Requirements: the knowledge, skills and abilities needed, normally stated as minimums only.

Methods of job analysis

McCormick in 1976 listed the sources of job information as observation, individual interview, group interview, technical conference, questionnaire, diary, critical incidents, equipment design information, recording of job activities and employee records. Collection may be done by professional job analysts, supervisors, job incumbents or even a camera in the workplace.

Methods designed to study jobs include functional job analysis by Fine in 1974, critical incidents by Flanagan in 1954, job elements by Primoff in 1975, the Position Analysis Questionnaire by McCormick, Jeanneret and Mecham in 1972, and the physical abilities requirement approach by Fleishman in 1975.

Conclusion: Job analysis leads to a job description, which sets out purpose, scope, duties and responsibilities, and to a job specification, which states the skills and knowledge needed. These feed recruitment, training, job evaluation, appraisal and organisation planning, which is why it is called the foundation of HR.

Performance appraisal methods and problems in appraisal

Q. Describe various performance appraisal methods and enlist the problems in appraisal.

Performance appraisal methods

  1. Critical incident method: the appraiser writes short anecdotes of what the employee did that was especially effective or ineffective. Specific behaviours are cited, not vague traits. Supervisors dislike writing such reports daily and the incidents cannot be quantified easily.
  2. Checklist: the evaluator uses behavioural descriptions and gives yes or no responses. The rater only records performance, while an analyst in the personnel department scores it and weights the factors by importance.
  3. Graphic rating scale: one of the oldest and most popular methods. It assesses quantity and quality of work, job knowledge, cooperation, dependability and initiative on a five to ten point continuum, and permits quantitative analysis.
  4. Forced choice method: a special checklist where the rater must choose between two or more statements whose right answers are unknown to him, which reduces bias.
  5. Behaviourally anchored rating scales: these combine the critical incident and graphic rating scale approaches, using actual job behaviour as scale points instead of general traits.
  6. Group order ranking: employees are placed in classifications such as top one-fifth. It stops inflated evaluations but works poorly with small numbers.
  7. Individual ranking and paired comparison: individual ranking lists employees highest to lowest, while paired comparison takes n(n-1)/2 comparisons and becomes unwieldy with large numbers.
  8. Management by objectives: organisational objectives are converted into individual objectives through goal setting, action planning, self control and periodic reviews.
  9. 360 degree appraisal: perceptions are collected from bosses, direct reports, colleagues, team members and customers. It improves feedback, aids team development and reduces discrimination risk.

Problems in performance appraisal

Six errors impede objective evaluation. Leniency error means marking higher or lower than actual performance. The halo effect means rating high or low on all factors because of one factor. Similarity error means rating others as one perceives oneself. Low appraiser motivation weakens the exercise. Central tendency is the reluctance to make extreme ratings, and the recency versus primacy effect distorts the period being judged.

Conclusion: Several methods are available, from critical incidents to 360 degree feedback. Whichever is chosen, the six rating errors must be guarded against if the appraisal is to stay reliable and valid.

Discipline, indiscipline and the domestic enquiry procedure

Q. Define discipline and enumerate the factors leading to indiscipline. Highlight the forms of indiscipline and elaborate the steps of a fair and effective domestic enquiry procedure.

Concept of discipline

Discipline is the regulation and modulation of human activities to produce a controlled performance. Its purpose is to encourage employees to conform to established standards of job performance and to behave sensibly and safely at work. Dessler in 2001 defines discipline as a procedure that corrects or punishes a subordinate because a rule of procedure has been violated.

Three aspects are distinguished. Negative discipline uses force and strict penalties where fear of punishment works as a deterrent. Positive discipline is where subordinates comply not from fear but from a desire to cooperate in achieving common goals. Discipline as self control is one's own effort at adjusting to certain demands.

Factors leading to indiscipline

Indiscipline means non conformity to formal and informal rules, and it leads to chaos, strikes, go-slows and absenteeism. The main factors are poor management, insensitive words and deeds by the manager, defective communication, ineffective leadership, non response to a grievance, unfair practices such as wage differentials and wrong work assignments, and payment of low wages.

Forms of indiscipline

Absenteeism, insubordination, violation of plant rules, gambling, incompetence, damage to machine and property, strikes and dishonesty lead to industrial indiscipline. All of them are misconduct against the management.

An act becomes misconduct where it is inconsistent with the peaceful discharge of duty, where it makes it unsafe to retain the employee, where conduct is insubordinate and where he is habitually negligent. Some such acts are listed in the Model Standing Orders under the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act of 1946.

Domestic enquiry procedure

Dessler holds that a fair and just discipline process rests on three foundations, clear rules and regulations, a system of progressive penalties from oral warning to written warning to suspension to discharge, and an appeals process. The stages are preliminary enquiry, framing and serving of the charge sheet, holding of the domestic enquiry, report of the enquiry officer, consideration of that report by the disciplinary authority, order of punishment and appeal.

The charge sheet must be in clear, unambiguous and local language, must give the date, time and place of the incident, and should be served personally with acknowledgement. At the enquiry the presenting officer leads the management case, the delinquent employee must be present, and he may take a knowledgeable co-worker as his representative. It is for management to prove the charge, and the enquiry report must base its conclusions only on evidence.

Conclusion: Before passing an order of discharge or dismissal the employer must hold a fair and proper enquiry in consonance with the principles of natural justice, conducted with an open mind, honestly and bonafide, so that the decision is not reversed later by an adjudicator.

Count the priority column and the shape of the paper becomes obvious. Twenty-six questions are high priority and only four are medium, because MMPC-002 has a small examinable core that keeps rotating across sessions.

4. Block and unit coverage of MMPC 002 Human Resource Management

The MMPC-002 syllabus runs to 4 blocks and 14 units, and this guess paper draws at least one answer from every single unit. No unit is left uncovered, which matters because IGNOU sets seven to eight questions and spreads them deliberately across blocks.

The unit titles below follow IGNOU's own self learning material on eGyanKosh, the university's official repository. The examinable topics in the third column are the ones our faculty found being asked, not a restatement of the unit name.

Students who want the block text alongside these answers usually pair the file with our MMPC 002 Study Material set, which follows the same unit order as the table above.

5. How this MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper was built

Six Term End papers from December 2023 to June 2026 were read question by question, tallied topic by topic, and only then were the 30 answers written. The list came out of the papers. It was not picked from the contents page of the block and then dressed up as a prediction.

The working method is dull but it is the reason the file is accurate. Each question in each paper was tagged to a block and unit. Repeat counts were totalled. Topics that had been asked four or more times were marked high, topics asked two or three times medium, and single appearances low.

Then a second pass was run for the opposite signal, the recent-paper gap. A topic that was heavy in December 2023 and June 2024 but silent since is overdue, and IGNOU's rotation habit in this paper makes such topics dangerous to skip. Evaluation of training and trade unions both sit in that category for the coming session.

The last step was the negative list. December 2025 carried time rate and piece rate systems of payment, and competency mapping, neither of which appears anywhere in the four MMPC-002 blocks. Those are flagged in the file as topics not to prepare from the blocks, so you do not burn an evening chasing content that is not there.

Every answer was then written against the IGNOU block text, checked by our management faculty and rewritten in simpler English where the original ran heavy. Learners on other specialisation papers follow the same process in our MBAHM guess Paper series.

6. MMPC 002 Human Resource Management exam pattern and marks distribution

MMPC-002 runs for 3 hours, carries 100 marks with 70 per cent weightage, and asks you to attempt any five questions of 20 marks each. That instruction line is printed on the official IGNOU paper itself, for example on the June 2024 MMPC-002 question paper.

Seven to eight questions are set and all carry equal marks. There is no separate objective section and no compulsory question, which is precisely why a well chosen set of 30 topics can cover a paper of this shape.

Term End Examination pattern for MMPC-002 Human Resource Management and what each figure means for your answer writing
ElementDetailWhat it means while writing
Duration3 hoursAbout 30 minutes per answer, with 5 minutes at the start to choose your five
Maximum marks100Term End weightage is 70 per cent, assignments carry the remaining 30
Questions setSeven to eightYou can afford to leave two or three topics untouched, not ten
Questions to attemptAny fiveAttempting four out of five well is still a fail risk, so finish all five
Marks per question20, equal for allNever spend 45 minutes on a favourite topic at the cost of the fifth answer
Short note questionsTwo parts of 10 marks, or four of 5 marks in some sessionsEach 10-mark part needs about 250 words and its own mini conclusion
Word guidanceNo word limit printed on the paperMarks-based targets are used instead, 450 words for 20 marks
MediumEnglish or HindiThis guess paper is written in English, in simple sentence structure

One more habit worth copying from the file. Every answer ends with a labelled conclusion of two or three lines. Evaluators working through a thousand scripts look for that closing box, and an answer that simply stops mid-point reads as incomplete even when the content is right.

7. Repeat topics and frequency analysis for MMPC 002 Human Resource Management

Concept and scope of HRM has appeared in four of the last six MMPC-002 papers, recruitment in three, and organisational environment in three, which makes them the safest three topics in the syllabus. The frequency table below is the working sheet behind the priority column you saw earlier.

What the table also exposes is the gap list. Evaluation of training last showed up in December 2023. Trade union forms and functions last showed up in December 2024. Workers' participation has been quiet since December 2024. In a paper that sets only seven or eight questions, three long-silent topics are a rotation waiting to happen.

8. Who needs the MMPC 002 Solved Guess Paper

Anyone appearing in MMPC-002 in the June 2026 or December 2026 Term End Examination, across every IGNOU programme that carries this paper as a core course. The course code is shared widely, so the same file serves several programmes.

  • MBA (Master of Business Administration)
  • MBAHM (MBA in Human Resource Management)
  • MBAOM (MBA in Operations Management)
  • MBAFM (MBA in Financial Management)
  • MBAMM (MBA in Marketing Management)
  • MBF (MBA in Banking and Finance)
  • PGDIHRM (Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management)

Four kinds of learners get the most out of it. The working professional who studies after office hours and cannot read 264 pages. The re-appear candidate who has already failed once and needs structure rather than more content. The student who is comfortable with HR ideas but keeps losing marks on presentation. And the last-week candidate with three papers stacked in the same week.

It is the wrong product for one kind of learner. If you are aiming to top the batch and have two clear months, read the blocks first and use this file only to rehearse answer shape.

9. Ten-day revision plan with the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper

Ten days, three questions a day, two days for writing practice and one day for the gap topics is the schedule our counsellors give over WhatsApp. It assumes about 90 focused minutes a day, which is what most working MBA learners can actually spare.

One adjustment if you have only four days. Take the high priority questions of Blocks 1 and 2 on day one and two, Blocks 3 and 4 on day three, and keep day four entirely for writing two answers by hand. Reading without writing is the single most common reason a well prepared MMPC-002 student still runs out of time in the hall.

10. How to get the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper

Send "MMPC-002 guess paper" on WhatsApp 9899436384 and our team replies with the price, the payment link and the PDF once payment is confirmed. There is no login, no account and no subscription. One message, one file.

Delivery is same day during working hours and within a few hours otherwise. The file arrives as a single PDF that opens on any phone. Keep the chat open, because doubts on any of the 30 answers are handled in the same thread by the faculty who wrote them.

Appearing in more than one paper this session? Mention every course code in the same message. Most MBA learners take three or four papers together, and our counsellors put together a combined set rather than selling each file separately.

11. FAQs on the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper

Is the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper valid for the December 2026 exam?

Yes. The file targets both June 2026 and December 2026 Term End Examinations, and its question list was fixed after reading the June 2026 paper. The MMPC-002 syllabus has not changed across these sessions, so the same 30 answers apply. If IGNOU revises the blocks, existing buyers get the updated file on the same WhatsApp thread at no extra cost.

How many questions does the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper contain?

Thirty questions with complete model answers, spread across 34 pages. Five of them are printed in full on this page as samples, so the paid file adds the remaining twenty-five. Every block of MMPC-002 is represented, with nine questions from Block 1, eight from Block 2, seven from Block 3 and six from Block 4 of the syllabus.

Are MMPC 002 Human Resource Management answers written in English or Hindi?

The file is written in English only, in short sentences and numbered points that are easy to memorise. Learners who write their Term End Examination in Hindi still use it for the structure, the author names and the counts, then write the content in Hindi. A Hindi medium version is not part of this product at present.

Will these MMPC 002 Human Resource Management questions come in the actual exam?

No guess paper can promise that, and any seller who does is not being honest with you. What this file does is cover the topics that appeared across six consecutive papers, plus the overdue topics from the rotation. Students who prepare all thirty answers have consistently found five attemptable questions in the hall, which is all the paper requires.

Does the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper include the solved assignment?

No. The guess paper is built for the Term End Examination, while the assignment is a separate product with a different question set released fresh by IGNOU each session. Both are available from Unnati Educations, but they are sold separately because they serve two different purposes and two different deadlines. Message 9899436384 if you need the current session assignment along with this file, and both can be sent together.

Is there a practical file or project for MMPC 002 Human Resource Management?

No. MMPC-002 is a theory paper of four credits with no practical component, no viva and no field project attached to it. Assessment runs on two parts only, the assignment carrying 30 per cent and the three-hour written examination carrying 70 per cent. That is why this product ships with a 30-question index rather than an experiment or practical file index, and why revision here means answer writing rather than lab work.

Which IGNOU programmes can use the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management guess paper?

MBA, MBAHM, MBAOM, MBAFM, MBAMM, MBF and PGDIHRM learners all take MMPC-002 as a core paper of Semester 1, and the Term End question paper is common across those programmes. The same file therefore serves every one of them without any change. Your programme code decides your other papers and your specialisation electives, not this one, so nothing inside the guess paper needs to be swapped out.

How soon is the MMPC 002 Human Resource Management PDF delivered after payment?

Usually within minutes during working hours and within a few hours at night. The PDF is sent on the same WhatsApp number you message from, so nothing depends on email delivery. If you are buying in the last week before the paper, say so in your first message and the request is moved ahead in the queue.
