MMPC 011 Solved Guess Paper 2026 is a 14-question, 17-page answer set for IGNOU's Social Processes and Behavioural Issues course, prepared for the June and December 2026 term-end exams. Five full answers are open on this page so you can check our writing before you ask for the complete PDF.
MMPC-011 Social Processes and Behavioural Issues is IGNOU's core organisational behaviour course for MBA students, running across 4 blocks and 15 units that move from the basics of OB to empowerment, inclusion and spiritual intelligence. It is marked out of 100 in a 3-hour paper.
This paper sits inside our wider IGNOU Solved Guess Paper collection, where each course code gets its own page, its own question analysis and its own answers. Nothing here is copied from another course, because MMPC 011 has its own repeat pattern.
2. MMPC 011 Sample Questions with Solved Answers
Below are 5 of the 14 MMPC 011 answers, one from every block, exactly as they appear in the paid PDF.
We picked samples that show range: a definitions-heavy Block 1 answer, two Block 2 answers full of named traits and errors, the most repeated Block 3 topic, and a newer Block 4 topic. Read one fully and you will know whether our style suits you.
Understanding Organisational Behaviour: components and models
Question: What is your understanding of Organisational Behaviour? Identify the components which affect it and describe the different models of OB.
Meaning of Organisational Behaviour
The IGNOU block defines it this way: "OB studies behaviour of people in the context of workplace where people, processes, and external environment interact with each other." Three features mark it out: it studies human behaviour, it does so inside organisations, and it aims to improve the organisation's effectiveness.
Components (focus areas) of OB
OB explains why employees behave as they do, predicts how they will react and influences how they act. It works at three levels:
- Individual (intra-individual) behaviour: differences in personality, attitudes, perception, motivation and learning.
- Team or group (interpersonal) behaviour: group norms, roles, conflicts and leadership within teams.
- Organisation (macro) behaviour: how individuals and teams act inside the organisation and respond to factors outside it.
Models of OB (Keith Davis)
Every organisation runs on a model shaped by management's assumptions about people. Davis described four models that form a continuum:
- Autocratic: oriented towards power; employees follow orders and depend on the boss. It rests on McGregor's Theory X.
- Custodial: oriented towards money and benefits; it gives security but makes employees dependent on the organisation.
- Supportive: depends on managerial leadership rather than power or money, drawing on Likert's System 4 and McGregor's Theory Y.
- Collegial: extends the supportive model through the team concept; employees share goals and practise self-discipline, which suits unprogrammed, intellectual work.
Conclusion: OB studies behaviour at the individual, group and organisation levels to improve effectiveness. Davis's four models help managers match their style to the maturity of their people and the needs of the situation.
Determinants of personality and impact of traits on OB
Question: Identify and elaborate the determinants of personality. How do traits of personality produce an impact on organisational behaviour? Give examples.
Meaning of Personality
Allport's definition used in the IGNOU block reads: "Personality is the dynamic organisation within the individual of those Psycho-Physical Systems that determine his unique adjustments to his environment."
Determinants of Personality
- Heredity: factors fixed at conception, such as physical appearance, temperament, energy level and biological rhythms, linked to the molecular structure of genes.
- Environment: culture, early conditioning and the norms of family, friends and social groups; personality keeps changing through socialisation.
- Situation: personality is fairly stable, yet different situations bring out different sides of it.
Impact of Personality Traits on OB
Research groups personality under the Big Five: adjustment, sociability, conscientiousness, agreeableness and intellectual openness. The traits that matter most at work are:
- Risk-taking: shapes how fast decisions are made; a high appetite suits a stock trader but hurts an auditor.
- Self-monitoring: the ability to adjust behaviour to outside cues; high self-monitors adapt well across situations.
- Self-esteem: high self-esteem employees set bigger goals and aim for higher-status jobs; low self-esteem employees react more to stress and poor conditions.
- Locus of control: internals believe their own actions drive results; externals credit chance or fate.
- Machiavellianism: a knack for manipulating people, which makes such employees prone to office politics.
Conclusion: Heredity, environment and situation shape personality. Since traits like risk-taking, self-monitoring, self-esteem, locus of control and Machiavellianism predict workplace behaviour, understanding them improves hiring, placement and motivation.
Perception: influencing factors and perceptual errors
Question: What do you understand by perception? Describe the factors influencing perception and the errors which impact social perception, with examples. How can they be minimised?
Meaning of Perception
"Perception is the selection and organisation of environmental stimuli to provide meaningful experiences for the perceiver." Put simply, it is how we select, receive, organise and interpret information so it makes sense to us. The perceiver, the target and the situation all colour it.
Factors Influencing Perception
- The perceiver: traits, attitude, unmet needs, interests, past experience and expectations. A fashion designer notices an outfit, while a traffic policeman notices the traffic.
- The target: motion, sound, size, figure-ground separation and closeness in space or time; similar or nearby things get grouped together.
- The situation: the context in which something is seen changes the meaning we give it.
Errors in Social Perception
- Halo effect: judging a person on one attribute, like assuming an attractive candidate will be a good secretary.
- Stereotyping: assigning traits by category, like "he is a politician, hence corrupt."
- Projection: seeing our own traits in others, like a lazy person calling everyone lazy.
- Expectancy: seeing people as we expected them to be, the Pygmalion effect or self-fulfilling prophecy.
Minimising Perceptual Errors
Avoid snap judgements, gather more information about people, stay aware of your own biases and check the attributions you make between appearance and behaviour.
Conclusion: Perception is selective and shaped by the perceiver, the target and the situation. Halo, stereotyping, projection and expectancy distort it, but self-awareness, fuller information and careful attribution keep those errors in check.
Sources of conflict and conflict management frameworks
Question: What are the sources of conflict? Explain the frameworks of conflict management and the process of conflict prevention in organisations.
Meaning of Conflict
"Conflict is a natural disagreement amongst individuals or groups that differ in attitudes, beliefs, values or needs." It cuts both ways: it can bring problems into the open, but it is usually seen as a drag on productivity and morale.
Sources of Conflict
- Competition for limited resources: money, power, status or the manager's time.
- Diversity of goals: marketing's goals may clash with finance's.
- Task interdependence: groups rely on one another to finish their work.
- Differences in values and perception: different outlooks create friction.
- Organisational ambiguities: unclear authority and responsibility.
- Introduction of change: change unsettles established patterns.
- Nature of communication: poor communication breeds disputes.
- Aggressive nature of people: individual aggression fuels conflict.
Frameworks of Conflict Management
- Thomas's framework: built on cooperativeness and assertiveness, with five tactics: competing, collaborating, avoiding, accommodating and compromising.
- Pareek's framework: eight styles split into avoidance modes (resignation, withdrawal, defusion, appeasement) and approach modes (confrontation, compromise, arbitration, negotiation).
- Contingency framework: the right style depends on the situation.
Conflict Prevention
When conflict is too low, managers can stimulate healthy debate. When it is too high, they use Feldman's strategies, namely avoidance, defusion, containment and confrontation, to bring performance back to its best level.
Conclusion: Conflict grows from scarce resources, clashing goals, interdependence, value gaps and change. The Thomas, Pareek and contingency frameworks help managers handle it, and stimulating or resolving it keeps performance at its peak.
Spiritual intelligence (SQ) at the workplace
Question: Describe the concept of spiritual intelligence quotient and discuss spiritual intelligence at the workplace with examples.
Meaning of Spiritual Intelligence (SQ)
"Spiritual intelligence is defined as the ability to apply, manifest, and embody spiritual resources, values, and qualities to enhance daily functioning and wellbeing." Vaughan (2002) sees SQ as a capacity for deep understanding of existential questions, while Wolman (2001) calls it the human capacity to ask ultimate questions about the meaning of life.
Concept of SQ
Danah Zohar and Ian Marshall, in their book SQ: Spiritual Intelligence, set out three intelligences: IQ, EQ and SQ. Neurological studies link them to three brain processing modes:
- Serial processing: tied to IQ functions in the left brain.
- Parallel processing: tied to EQ functions.
- Synchronous processing: tied to SQ; it stays dormant unless the SQ neural network is actually used.
Spiritual Intelligence at the Workplace
Jurkiewicz and Giacalone (2004) link workplace spirituality to performance through stronger motivation, commitment and adaptability, backed by values such as benevolence, integrity, justice, respect, responsibility and trust. Spirituality at work covers inner life, meaningful work and community. SQ helps an employee to:
- draw on deep inner resources to care for others and adapt;
- keep a stable sense of identity as workplace relationships shift;
- see the real meaning of events and make work meaningful;
- align personal values with a clear purpose and act with integrity.
Conclusion: SQ is the ability to apply spiritual resources to daily functioning. Zohar and Marshall's IQ, EQ and SQ model explains its roots, and at work it lifts motivation, commitment, meaning and integrity.

5. MMPC 011 Exam Pattern for June and December 2026
The MMPC 011 paper runs 3 hours for 100 marks, and in the usual format you answer any 5 questions of 20 marks each.
| Element | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Duration and marks | 3 hours, 100 marks |
| Weightage | 70% term-end exam, 30% assignment (TMA) |
| Standard instruction | Answer any five questions; all carry equal marks (seven were printed in June 2023) |
| Short notes | One question asks for notes on any three or four topics from a list of five |
| Case study | December 2023 added a Section B case on a sales team |
| Word target | About 450 words for 20 marks, 250 for 10, 150 for 5 |
You can check the format yourself in the official June 2023 MMPC-011 paper on IGNOU's website. Because the case study comes and goes, always read the instructions on the day before you pick your five.
6. MMPC 011 Important Questions: Topic Frequency from June 2023 to December 2025
Conflict and stress are the most repeated MMPC 011 topics, each seen in 5 of the last 6 term-end papers.

We rebuilt this grid question by question from each paper, and while checking we corrected two entries against the official papers: understanding OB also appeared in June 2023, and administrative theory came as a short note in December 2023. You can match any row with our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper collection.
Notice how short-note topics like the glass ceiling and emotional intelligence fade after 2023, while inclusion and spiritual intelligence rise in 2025. That shift is exactly why Block 4 gets two full answers in this paper.
7. MMPC 011 TMA and Practical File Index
MMPC 011 has no practical file; it is a theory-only course where the assignment (TMA) carries 30% weightage.
Since there is no practical or project to submit, here is the next most useful index: the themes set in a recent MMPC 011 assignment cycle and where the guess paper already helps you write them.
| Assignment theme (January and July 2024 cycle) | Where the guess paper helps |
|---|---|
| Theories of leadership | Not one of the 14; read the leadership section of the IGNOU block |
| Behaviour modification process | Q5 covers the four-step OBM process with ABC analysis |
| Theories of motivation | Q7 covers Maslow, Herzberg, McGregor and McClelland |
| Organisational citizenship behaviour | Unit 12 short-note material; not a full answer in the paper |
| Factors influencing perception | Sample 3 on this page (Q6) answers it in full |
Three of the five themes are already covered in full, so one set of reading serves both your TMA and your exam. If you need the solved assignment itself, mention it when you message 9899436384.
8. How We Prepared the MMPC 011 Guess Paper Answers
Every MMPC 011 answer was written from the IGNOU blocks after tracking topics across six term-end papers, then reviewed by our Academic Head.
First, we listed every question from June 2023 to December 2025 and tagged each to its unit. Topics seen three or more times, or in both of the latest sessions, went straight into the paper. Then we wrote each answer the way IGNOU examiners read: definition first, named scholar, numbered points, one short example and a tight conclusion.
The answers were drafted by Prateek Talwar, founder of Unnati Educations and a Company Secretary who has spent years turning dense course books into exam answers. Sheetal Kirola, our Academic Head with an M.Ed., checked every definition and framework against the MMPC 011 blocks before release.
One honest note: a guess paper cannot promise exact questions. What it gives you is the set of themes IGNOU keeps returning to, written in a form you can reproduce under time pressure.
9. Programmes That Study MMPC 011 Social Processes and Behavioural Issues
MMPC 011 is a shared core course, so the same guess paper works across 12 IGNOU management programmes.
It is studied in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MBA (Online), MBA (Banking and Finance) MBF, MBA (Financial Management) MBAFM, MBA (Human Resource Management) MBAHM, MBA (Marketing Management) MBAMM and MBA (Operations Management) MBAOM.
It also runs in MBA (Construction Management) MBACN, MBA (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) MBALS, MBA (Agribusiness Management) MBAABM, MBA (Health Care and Hospital Management) MBAHCHM and the Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDIHRM).
If you are in the finance stream, pair this with our MBAFM Guess Paper set for your other core courses. HR students tend to find MMPC 011 the easiest high scorer, because so much of it overlaps with what they study elsewhere.
10. 10-Day MMPC 011 Revision Plan Using the Guess Paper
Ten focused days are enough to cover all 14 MMPC 011 answers and finish with one full 3-hour mock.
| Day | Focus | Questions | Finish the day with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Block 1 foundations: meaning of OB, three levels, Davis's models, classical thinkers | Q1, Q2 | Davis's four models written from memory |
| Day 2 | Personality determinants and the five workplace traits | Q3 | One timed answer, 35 minutes |
| Day 3 | Reinforcement schedules and the OBM process | Q4, Q5 | A one-page chart of the four schedules |
| Day 4 | Perception factors and the four social perception errors | Q6 | An example ready for each error |
| Day 5 | Maslow, Herzberg, McGregor and McClelland | Q7 | Second timed answer, checked for length |
| Day 6 | Tuckman's stages, productivity factors, team problems | Q8, Q9 | Leader's role noted against each stage |
| Day 7 | Conflict sources, Thomas and Pareek styles, negotiation steps | Q10, Q12 | The bargaining comparison table redrawn |
| Day 8 | Job stress, the five BOSS stages, ROSS and coping | Q11 | Stage names memorised in order |
| Day 9 | Block 4: inclusion and SQ, plus short notes on OCB, empowerment and diversity | Q13, Q14 | Four short notes of about 150 words |
| Day 10 | Full mock: pick any five questions and write in 3 hours | Any five | Self-check against the 450-word target |
If you only have five days, merge them in pairs and drop the mock to four questions. Just keep the timed writing, because it is the part that actually moves your marks.

12. MMPC 011 Guess Paper FAQs
Quick answers to what MMPC 011 students ask us most before buying.
What is the MMPC 011 Solved Guess Paper 2026?
It is a 17-page PDF from Unnati Educations with 14 fully answered questions for IGNOU's MMPC 011 Social Processes and Behavioural Issues. We built it by checking six term-end papers from June 2023 to December 2025 and picking the topics that keep coming back. Every answer is written from the IGNOU block, sits close to 450 words and is set for the June and December 2026 exams.
Is the MMPC 011 guess paper enough to pass Social Processes and Behavioural Issues?
For most students, yes, if it is used properly. The 14 answers cover all four blocks and the topics that have repeated most across six sessions, and the paper only asks you to attempt five questions. Still, read the short-note units it does not cover, like employee empowerment, OCB and diversity management, from the IGNOU book once. That small extra step protects you against a surprise question.
Which topics are most important for MMPC 011 in June and December 2026?
Conflict and stress lead the list, each seen in five of the last six MMPC 011 papers. Personality, perception and understanding OB appeared in four sessions each. Reinforcement, the classical movement, conflict resolution and spiritual intelligence appeared three times, and inclusive organisation came up in both of the two latest sessions. If time is short, start with these before moving to motivation, groups and negotiation.
How many questions come in the MMPC 011 exam and how many must I attempt?
The MMPC 011 paper is 3 hours long and carries 100 marks with a 70 percent weightage. In the June 2023 paper, seven questions were printed and students had to answer any five, each worth 20 marks. One question is usually a short-notes set, and the December 2023 paper added a Section B case study. Always read the instructions on the day, because the format can shift slightly.
Which programmes study MMPC 011 Social Processes and Behavioural Issues?
MMPC 011 is a common core course across IGNOU's management programmes. It is studied in the MBA and MBA (Online), MBA Banking and Finance, and the MBA specialisations in Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Operations, Construction, Logistics and Supply Chain, Agribusiness, and Health Care and Hospital Management. PGDIHRM students take it too, so this one guess paper works for all of them.
Does MMPC 011 have a practical file or project?
No. MMPC 011 is a theory-only course, so there is no practical file, lab record or project to submit. Your marks come from two parts: the term-end exam, which carries 70 percent weightage, and the tutor-marked assignment, which carries 30 percent. That is why this page gives a TMA index in place of a practical file index, showing which guess paper answers support recent assignment themes.
How do I get the full MMPC 011 Solved Guess Paper PDF?
Send a WhatsApp message to 9899436384 with the course code MMPC 011. Our team will share the price and send the complete 17-page PDF with all 14 solved questions, including the 9 answers not shown on this page. You also get the topic frequency table and the exam-day rules page. Delivery happens on WhatsApp itself, so you can start revising the same day.
Are the MMPC 011 guess paper answers written from the IGNOU book?
Yes. Each MMPC 011 answer uses the definitions, scholar names and frameworks from IGNOU's own Social Processes and Behavioural Issues blocks, such as Davis's OB models, Tuckman's group stages and Pareek's conflict styles. We did not pull material from unrelated textbooks. Examiners mark against the IGNOU study material, so staying close to its language gives your answers the best chance of scoring well.
Will the exact MMPC 011 guess paper questions come in the 2026 exam?
Nobody can promise exact questions, and any seller who does is not being honest with you. What we can say is that IGNOU repeats MMPC 011 topics heavily, often with changed wording. Conflict, stress, personality and perception have appeared again and again. The guess paper prepares you for those themes, so even a reworded question should feel familiar when you sit down to write.
