BPCC 107 Solved Guess Paper 2026 with all 15 questions answered in full, written to the word limits IGNOU actually sets in this paper.
Built from six real question papers of BPCC-107, from June 2023 to December 2025, and not from a syllabus copy paste.
Every answer opens with a textbook definition and the scholar's name, because that is the first thing the examiner's eye looks for.
Block and section mapping printed on each question, so you can see whether an answer belongs to Section A or Section B before you choose it in the hall.
Priority tags of HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW on each question, so a student with three days left knows what to open first.
A frequency table of 24 examined topics across the last six sessions, reproduced on this page so you can check our reasoning before you buy.
A short list of what to skip, which saves more revision time than any extra chapter.
Written in simple, plain English that you can actually reproduce in your own handwriting, which matters more than clever phrasing.

Course Overview

BPCC 107 Solved Guess Paper for the 2026 term end examination is a 15 question PDF that carries a written, exam ready answer under every single question. Nothing is left as a topic name for you to go and study later. You open the file, you read the answer, you revise it, you write it in the hall. That is the whole idea.

Social Psychology is one of those Semester III papers where students do not fail because the subject is hard. They lose marks because they walk in having read all five blocks loosely and none of them in answer form. Two hours, fifty marks, five answers of roughly 300 words each. The paper rewards the student who has the definition, the scholar's name and the list ready.

So we did the boring part for you. We sat with six IGNOU question papers of this course, from June 2023 through to December 2025, marked what came back again and again, marked what has gone quiet and is now due, and then wrote the answers. If you want the wider set for other courses first, our IGNOU Solved Guess Paper collection is the place to start.

Key facts for IGNOU BPCC-107 Social Psychology and the 2026 guess paper prepared by Unnati Educations

What the BPCC 107 Solved Guess Paper for Social Psychology Contains

The file holds 15 exam style questions with 15 written answers, spread across all five blocks of BPCC-107, and is targeted at the June 2026 and December 2026 term end examinations. Five of those answers are printed on this page so you can judge the writing before you ask for the rest.

Each question in the PDF carries four labels before the answer begins: the marks split, the priority tag, the block and section it belongs to, and the sessions in which that topic last appeared. So a question is never just a question. It comes with the reason it is on the list.

The answers themselves are written the way IGNOU wants them written. A meaning or definition first, usually the exact textbook line with the scholar credited. Then the body in numbered points, because a 250 word answer with five clean points scores better than a 250 word paragraph. Then a short closing line that ties it together.

Question set inside the file, in order. Nature, definition and scope; theoretical approaches; observational and experimental methods; self concept and self esteem; self presentation theories and tactics; enculturation and self construals; schema types and impact.

Then, continuing into Section B territory. Attribution theories and errors; heuristics and sources of error; attitude functions and change; aggression approaches and causes; compliance principles and strategies; prosocial behaviour and the bystander effect; leader characteristics and styles; and group types, formation and processes.

Sample Questions and Answers from the BPCC 107 Social Psychology Guess Paper

Below are 5 of the 15 questions, one taken from each block, printed in full with the answer exactly as it appears in the PDF. The remaining 10 questions are in the complete file. Read one or two of these and you will know whether our writing is the standard you want in the exam hall.

Sample 1Priority: HIGHBlock 1, Section A10 marksLast appeared: June 2024, December 2023, June 2023

Sample 1. Discuss the definition, nature and scope of Social Psychology. (10 marks, about 250 words)

Meaning. Social psychology is a discipline that uses scientific methods to understand and explain how the thought, feeling and behaviour of individuals are influenced by the actual, imagined or implied presence of others. It studies human interaction, its causes, its consequences and the psychological processes involved in it.

Nature. Three components characterise it. First, it applies scientific methods, using systematic observation, description and measurement to describe, explain and predict social behaviour. Second, it studies thought, feeling and behaviour together, covering cooperation, helping, conflict and aggression. Third, it studies behaviour in social contexts, since behaviour is shaped even by the implied or imagined presence of others. Kurt Lewin captured this as B = f (P, E).

Scope. The subject matter falls into five areas. Attitudes, covering formation, structure, change, functions and the attitude to behaviour link. Social cognition, covering person perception, attribution, schema and stereotypes. Social influence, or how people affect the thoughts and behaviour of others.

The remaining two areas are pro-social and antisocial behaviour, covering helping and liking against hostility, aggression and prejudice, and groups and group dynamics, covering group composition, structure, process and development.

Conclusion. Social psychology scientifically analyses how individuals interact with others and with society, which makes attitudes, social cognition, social influence and group dynamics its core subject matter.

Sample 2Priority: HIGHBlock 2, Section A5 + 5 marksLast appeared: December 2025, June 2025, December 2023, June 2023

Sample 2. Discuss the theories and tactics of self-presentation. (5 + 5, about 150 + 150 words)

Meaning. Self-presentation is the effort to make a good impression on others. Social psychologists also call it impression management.

Theories of self-presentation. Symbolic interactionism, from Cooley (1902) and Mead (1934), holds that we take the role of others and see ourselves as others see us, then guide our behaviour accordingly.

The theory of self-presentation given by Erving Goffman (1959) compares social interaction to a theatrical performance in which we use face saving devices and mutual commitment. Situated identities theory, associated with C. N. Alexander, argues that people strive to create the most favourable situated identity for each social setting.

Tactics of self-presentation. Jones and Pittman (1982) identified five. Ingratiation, getting others to like us through compliments and by conforming to their views. Intimidation, arousing fear by creating the image of a dangerous person. Self-promotion, showing oneself as competent by emphasising positive traits. Exemplification, projecting integrity and moral worth so as to arouse guilt in the target. Supplication, advertising one's weakness and dependence to seek sympathy.

Conclusion. Three theories explain why we manage impressions and the five tactics of Jones and Pittman describe how we do it to gain the desired effect from others.

Sample 3Priority: HIGHBlock 3, Section A5 + 5 marksLast appeared: June 2025, December 2024, June 2024, June 2023

Sample 3. Discuss any two theories of attribution. Explain the major errors and biases in attribution. (5 + 5, about 150 + 150 words)

Meaning. Attribution is the process by which we infer the causes behind the behaviour of other people.

Two theories. Correspondent inference theory, from Jones and Davis (1965), holds that we infer that a behaviour reflects a stable disposition when it is chosen without constraint, when it yields non-common effects and when it is low in social desirability.

The covariation model of Kelley (1967, 1973) says that we act like scientists and use three kinds of information, namely consensus, consistency and distinctiveness. Behaviour low in consensus and distinctiveness but high in consistency is attributed to internal causes, while behaviour high on all three is attributed to external causes.

Errors and biases. The fundamental attribution error is the tendency to overestimate dispositional causes and underestimate situational ones in the behaviour of others. The actor observer bias makes us attribute the behaviour of others to internal causes but our own to the situation. The self-serving bias makes us claim credit for successes and blame failures on external factors. The ultimate attribution error is the same self-serving bias operating at group level.

Conclusion. The framework of Heider underlies attribution theories such as correspondent inference and the covariation model of Kelley, yet our judgements remain distorted by predictable errors like the fundamental attribution error and the self-serving bias.

Sample 4Priority: HIGHBlock 4, Section B10 marksLast appeared: December 2025, June 2024, June 2023

Sample 4. Discuss the theoretical approaches to aggression and describe its causal factors. (10 marks, about 250 words)

Meaning. Aggression is behaviour aimed at producing physical or psychological harm to another person. Anderson and Bushman (2002) defined it as any behaviour directed towards another with the immediate intent to cause harm. Its forms include hostile aggression and instrumental aggression.

Theoretical approaches. The biological approach, through the death instinct or thanatos of Freud and the inherited fighting instinct of Lorenz (1966), treats aggression as innate. The drive approach holds that aggression stems from a drive to harm that is instigated by situational factors (Berkowitz, 1989). The social learning approach of Bandura (1997) holds that aggression is learned by direct experience and by observing models.

The frustration aggression hypothesis of Dollard and colleagues (1939) argued that frustration leads to aggression, later revised by Berkowitz (1989) through negative affect. Excitation transfer theory (Zillmann, 1994) holds that arousal carries over and intensifies later aggression. The general aggression model of Anderson and Bushman (2002) gives a three stage integrative framework of input, route and outcome.

Causal factors. Personal causes such as frustration, provocation, personality, bio-chemical influences, age and gender. Social and cultural causes such as exposure to mass media and social rejection. Situational causes such as the weapon effect and environmental discomfort.

Conclusion. Aggression is explained by biological, drive, social learning, frustration and integrative GAM approaches, and it is triggered by personal, social and situational causal factors.

Sample 5Priority: HIGHBlock 5, Section B5 + 5 marksLast appeared: December 2025, December 2024, June 2024

Sample 5. Explain the concept and types of group. Discuss the stages of group formation and various group processes. (5 + 5, about 150 + 150 words)

Meaning. A group is a collection of people who perceive themselves to be bonded together in a coherent unit to some degree, as Brown (2000) put it. Members have common motives, they interact and influence each other, and they are governed by roles, norms and status.

Types of group. Common-bond and common-identity groups, distinguished by the perceived bond among members. Primary and secondary groups, that is pre-existing memberships such as family and caste against groups joined voluntarily. Formal and informal groups, that is groups with explicit rules against those without.

Stages of group formation (Tuckman, 1965). Forming, where members meet and the group resembles a crowd amid uncertainty. Storming, where conflict over roles and status produces a hierarchy. Norming, where norms are finalised and the group gains a clear identity. Performing, where members devote effort to group goals. Adjourning, where the group disbands once its purpose is achieved.

Group processes. Social facilitation, where the presence of others improves well learned performance and impairs poorly learned tasks. Social loafing, the reduction of individual effort in a group. Deindividuation, the reduced self-awareness of an anonymous crowd.

Conclusion. A group is a bonded, interacting unit of several types that develops through the five stages of Tuckman and is shaped by processes such as social facilitation, social loafing and deindividuation.

That is 5 questions out of 15. The other 10 answers, covering research methods, self concept and self esteem, enculturation and self construals, schema, heuristics, attitude, compliance, prosocial behaviour and the bystander effect, leadership, and the remaining Block 1 theory question, are inside the full PDF.

BPCC 107 Social Psychology Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme for 2026

BPCC-107 is a two hour paper of 50 marks in which you answer any five questions of about 300 words each, taking at least two questions from Section A and at least two from Section B. All questions carry equal marks of 10.

The 10 marks rarely arrive as one lump. They arrive as splits, and the splits are what catch students out. Recent papers have used single 10 mark items along with 5 plus 5, 3 plus 7, 6 plus 4, 2 plus 8 and 4 plus 6. If a question is 3 plus 7 and you write 500 words on the 3 mark half, you have spent your best ten minutes on three marks.

Our answers are written to a strict internal target, 250 words for a 10 mark question and 150 words for a 5 mark half. That sits comfortably inside the 300 word guideline IGNOU prints on the paper and it leaves you time to attempt the fifth answer, which is where most of the lost marks actually live.

One more practical point. Section A of this paper draws mostly from Blocks 1, 2 and 3, and Section B from Blocks 3, 4 and 5, which is why the split labels printed on every question in our file matter. If you have prepared only the self and cognition topics you may not have two safe answers in Section B. Students who also want the raw papers to cross check this pattern can pick them up from our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper archive.

Block Wise Chapter Index of BPCC 107 Social Psychology

BPCC-107 is organised into five blocks and twelve units, and this guess paper places at least two questions in every block. The table below maps each block to the topics that actually reached the question paper in the last six sessions, and to the questions we have solved for it.

A word on the practical side of this course, because it confuses a lot of BAPCH students. BPCC-107 carries 6 credits, made up of 4 theory credits and 2 tutorial credits, so there is no separate practical file to submit for this course code.

What you do submit alongside the theory assignment is Part B, the tutorial, worth 30 marks across two activities of about 700 words each. For the unit level breakdown and the reading behind those activities, the BPCC 107 Study Material page holds it.

Unit titles and the full self learning material for all five blocks are published by IGNOU on eGyanKosh, BPCC-107 Social Psychology. We have kept our block titles identical to the official ones so that your reading and your revision use the same labels.

How This BPCC 107 Social Psychology Guess Paper Was Built from Previous Year Papers

We read six BPCC-107 term end papers, June 2023, December 2023, June 2024, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025, logged every topic that appeared, and then wrote answers only for the topics that the pattern supported. The December 2025 paper was the last one added, and it changed three of our priority calls.

The method was simple and it was manual. First, each question in each paper was reduced to its underlying textbook topic, so that "Elucidate the characteristics of a leader" and "Explain the different styles of leadership" both landed in the leadership row. Second, we counted appearances per topic. Third, and this is the part most guess papers skip, we looked at gaps.

A gap is a topic with a strong history that has not appeared in the last two or three sessions. Nature, definition and scope is the clearest example in this course. It appeared in June 2023, December 2023 and June 2024 and has been quiet since, and the same topic sits in the current assignment cycle as well. That combination is why it holds a HIGH tag despite three ticks rather than four.

Then the answers were written, strictly from the IGNOU textbook rather than from general psychology reading, because examiners of this course reward the book's own lists. Five tactics of self-presentation, six principles of compliance, five stages of helping. Write four of the five and you have thrown away marks that were sitting there for the taking.

Topic Frequency Table for BPCC 107 Social Psychology, June 2023 to December 2025

Twenty four topics were tracked across six sessions, and the table below is the complete record, exactly as it appears on the last page of the PDF. This is the working behind every priority tag in the file, published openly so you can argue with it if you disagree.

How to read the priority column. HIGH means four or more appearances in the last six papers, or a repeat topic that has skipped the recent sessions and is now due. MEDIUM means two to three appearances, or a single appearance in a unit that examiners keep returning to. LOW means one appearance with no supporting pattern, worth keeping only as a backup.

What to Skip and What Examiners Reward in BPCC 107 Social Psychology

Skipping the right five topics buys you more marks in BPCC-107 than adding a sixth chapter, because this paper only asks you five questions. Here is where the low return reading sits.

Leave out the single mention items that have never repeated, such as social distance and the measurement of attitude scales. Leave out the memorising of long reference lists, the dates of every experiment and the names of minor studies.

Communication barriers, group effectiveness models and the steps of bullying have not come back in recent papers. Niche leadership styles beyond the main five or six are not what the examiner is looking for. On cross-cultural parenting, know the concept and skip the data tables.

Now the other side. Open every answer with a clear definition and the scholar's name, whether that is Allport on attitude, Heider on balance, Festinger on dissonance or Cialdini on compliance. Cite the years the book gives, since it signals that you studied the block and not a summary. Pair each theory with the short example the textbook itself uses. Use the exact list counts from the book, five tactics, six principles, five stages, without padding or rounding. Close with one evaluative line.

None of this is clever. It is simply what a 10 mark answer in this course looks like when it is written well, and it is the shape every answer in our file follows.

Who Should Use the BPCC 107 Solved Guess Paper for Social Psychology

This file is meant for BAPCH and BAFPC students sitting the BPCC-107 term end examination in June 2026 or December 2026, particularly those with limited days left. It is a revision and answer writing resource, not a replacement for the blocks.

It suits you if you have already read the study material once and now need it in answer form. It suits you if you are a backlog or re-registration student who cannot re-read five blocks. It suits you if you are strong in Blocks 1 and 2 but blank in Blocks 4 and 5, since the section mapping tells you where your safe answers are.

It also suits students who write in English while thinking in Hindi, because the language in the file stays deliberately plain. Students collecting resources for the whole semester usually pick this up along with the wider BAPCH Guess Paper set.

It is not for you if you have not opened the textbook at all and expect 15 answers to carry a full paper. A guess paper narrows the field, it does not remove the reading. If you are starting from zero with a month in hand, read the blocks first and use this in the last ten days.

How to Get the Complete BPCC 107 Social Psychology Guess Paper with Answers

Send the course code BPCC-107 on WhatsApp 9899436384 and we will confirm availability, share the delivery details and send the complete 15 question PDF. Delivery is on WhatsApp, which means you can open it on the phone you already revise from.

Please mention three things in your first message. Your programme, BAPCH or BAFPC. The session you are appearing in, June 2026 or December 2026. And your medium, since we want to make sure you receive the right file. If you are also preparing another course this session, mention that in the same message and we will tell you what is ready for it rather than making you write again. Students of the general programme often ask for the BAFPC Guess Paper list at this point.

Doubts after you receive the file are part of the deal. If a question in the paper looks unfamiliar, or an answer needs a shorter version for a 5 mark split, message us on the same number and we will help you adjust it.

Frequently Asked Questions on the BPCC 107 Social Psychology Guess Paper

How many questions are there in the BPCC 107 Social Psychology guess paper?

The BPCC 107 Social Psychology guess paper contains 15 questions, and every one of them carries a complete written answer. Five of the 15 are published on this page as samples, one from each block, and the remaining 10 are inside the PDF. The set covers all five blocks of the syllabus, so you have both Section A and Section B options in the hall.

Is the BPCC 107 Social Psychology guess paper valid for both June 2026 and December 2026?

Yes. This BPCC 107 Social Psychology guess paper is prepared for the June 2026 and December 2026 term end examinations, since IGNOU runs only these two sessions in a year. The topic pattern of this course has been stable across recent papers, so the same 15 questions apply to both sittings. We revise the file if a new session paper changes the pattern.

Which previous year papers were analysed for the BPCC 107 Social Psychology guess paper?

Six term end papers were analysed for BPCC 107 Social Psychology, covering June 2023, December 2023, June 2024, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025. Every question in those papers was reduced to its textbook topic and logged. The complete record is published in the frequency table on this page, so you can see which sessions each priority tag rests on.

Will the same questions come in the BPCC 107 Social Psychology exam?

No honest guess paper can promise that, and we will not. What this BPCC 107 Social Psychology file gives you is the set of topics with the strongest repeat history and the clearest due gaps, written in full answer form. IGNOU sets its papers from the same blocks each session, so a well built pattern list usually covers a large share of the paper.

What is the exam pattern of BPCC 107 Social Psychology?

BPCC 107 Social Psychology is a two hour paper carrying 50 marks. You answer any five questions of about 300 words each, taking at least two from Section A and at least two from Section B, and every question carries 10 marks. Those 10 marks often arrive as splits such as 5 plus 5, 3 plus 7 or 6 plus 4, which our answers are structured to match.

Does BPCC 107 Social Psychology have a practical file to submit?

No. BPCC 107 Social Psychology is a 6 credit course made up of 4 theory credits and 2 tutorial credits, so there is no separate practical file for this course code. What you submit alongside the theory assignment is Part B, the tutorial, which carries 30 marks across two activities of roughly 700 words each based on the self learning material.

Which programmes include BPCC 107 Social Psychology?

BPCC 107 Social Psychology is a core course of BA (Honours) Psychology, that is BAPCH, and it is also taken by students of BA Psychology under BAFPC. It sits in Semester III of the programme structure. Students of both programmes write the same term end paper, so the same solved guess paper serves them equally.

How do I receive the complete BPCC 107 Social Psychology solved guess paper?

Message the course code on WhatsApp 9899436384 with your programme, BAPCH or BAFPC, and the session you are appearing in. We confirm availability, share the delivery details and send the complete PDF on the same number. Any doubt you have after reading the answers can be raised on that chat, including help with shortening an answer for a 5 mark split.
