ACC-01 is a course under IGNOU's Bachelor's Degree Programme. The exam has a fixed structure — Question 1 is compulsory (20 marks), while Questions 2 through 7 carry 20 marks each and you answer any four. That gives five questions total, adding up to 100 marks. This paper was conducted as part of the IGNOU Term-End Examination December 2025 official schedule, assessed against the IGNOU BDP Programme Guide for ACC-01.
About IGNOU ACC-01 — Organizing Child Care Services
ACC-01 goes far deeper than centre management. It asks you to think about how children develop, what play genuinely does for a child, how communities connect with ECCE programmes, and what role a caregiver plays in that ecosystem. The IGNOU BDP Programme Guide for ACC-01 aligns this course with NCTE guidelines on early childhood care and education — emphasising child-centred, activity-based learning environments. Most students taking this course are already working with children in anganwadis, preschools, or community ECCE settings.

Sample — Q1 (a) Partial Preview
Finger painting → Fine Motor Development. Precise small-muscle control of fingers and hands, directly building hand-eye coordination needed for writing later.
Participating in drama → Social and Emotional Development. Role-taking, perspective-taking, emotional expression, and peer cooperation are all active in this one activity.
Offering the ball to a friend → Social Development. Sharing and turn-taking reflect prosocial behaviour and awareness of others — core social milestones.

How to Write High-Scoring Answers in ACC-01 — Exam Tips
For Q1(a), write a clear two-column table — Activity on the left, Area of Development on the right. Do not write paragraphs. Each item earns 1 mark. The question says "mainly fosters" — go with the dominant area, not a secondary one.
For Q1(b), use a three-part structure: a clear opening that disagrees with the statement, a body covering at least three types of play with concrete examples, and a short conclusion linking play to developmental outcomes. Aim for 260–300 words. Under 200 words rarely scores well for a 10-mark essay.
For Q7 short notes, write each one as a flowing paragraph of around 200 words — open with a clear definition, develop the key points in the middle, and close with relevance to ECCE practice. Do not use bullet points inside short notes. Examiners expect written expression, not lists.
