BEGE 145 Solved Guess Paper 2026 is a 16 page prepared file holding 13 exam ready questions with complete written answers for Soft Skills, the elective offered under IGNOU's Bachelor of Arts (General) programme. Every question was shortlisted after reading six Term End papers, and every answer was written from the IGNOU textbook rather than from general internet notes. This page shows five of those questions with their answers so you can judge the quality first.
Most students reach this page a few weeks before the Term End Examination, holding four blocks of study material and no clear idea of which twenty mark questions actually keep coming back. That is the exact gap this file closes. Below you will find sample answers, the full question index, the block map, the marking scheme and the repeat topic frequency data that decided what went into the paper.

What You Get in the BEGE 145 Solved Guess Paper for Soft Skills
You get one 16 page PDF holding 13 questions with fully written answers, covering all four blocks of BEGE 145 Soft Skills, plus a priority tag, a block reference and a last appeared record for every question.
The file is not a list of topics. Each of the 13 entries is written out as a complete answer that you can revise and reproduce in the examination hall. A 20 mark answer runs to roughly 450 words and follows the same shape every time: the textbook definition in the opening line, the scholar or source behind it, the body split into numbered points with subheadings, and a short evaluative conclusion.
Fourteen of the sixteen pages are answers. The remaining two carry the cover index and a preparation brief that explains the paper pattern, the topics worth skipping, and what evaluators look for when they mark a Soft Skills script. Students who have used our IGNOU Solved Guess Paper collection for other courses will recognise the layout immediately.
Two of the thirteen entries are short note questions of 10 marks each, because BEGE 145 papers almost always set one short note question with an internal choice. The rest are full 20 mark questions. Nothing in the file is padded to look longer than it needs to be.
Sample Questions With Answers From the BEGE 145 Soft Skills Guess Paper
Five of the 13 questions are reproduced below with their answers so you can check the depth and language before enquiring. The other 8 questions are inside the file.
These five were chosen deliberately, one from each of the four blocks plus the short note question, so you see the full range of writing rather than the easiest example. The answers here are shown at working length. Each carries the same structure as the rest of the file.
What are soft skills? Why are they important for personal and professional development?
Meaning. Soft skills are non technical skills that affect our performance at the workplace. They are a combination of personality traits, behaviours and social attitudes that let people communicate clearly, collaborate with others and manage conflict successfully. Unlike hard skills, they are not about the knowledge a person holds but about the behaviour a person displays.
The seven most valued soft skills. Effective communication, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, interpersonal skills, adaptability or flexibility, and work ethics. Sociologists often frame these through the Emotional Intelligence Quotient rather than the Intelligence Quotient, which is why they are also called transferable or professional skills.
Why they matter. They give people the situational awareness to handle difficult moments, they prepare a person for leadership because leading is more about managing people than technique, they help teams communicate during uncertainty, they weigh heavily in interviews, and they raise the productivity of the organisation as a whole.
What is emotional intelligence? Discuss its different components and the ways to develop them.
Meaning. Emotional intelligence is the set of personal qualities such as initiative, empathy, adaptability and persuasiveness that decide upward mobility once education and expertise are taken for granted. Howard Gardner's work on multiple intelligences sits behind it, and Goleman argues these abilities work together with cognitive ones, mattering more as a job grows complex.
Personal competence. Self awareness, meaning knowledge of one's own internal states, preferences and resources. Self regulation, meaning the management of those states and an openness to new ideas. Motivation, made up of achievement drive, commitment, initiative and optimism.
Social competence. Empathy, which covers understanding others, developing others, service orientation, leveraging diversity and political awareness. Social skills, which cover influence, communication, conflict management, leadership, acting as a change catalyst, building bonds and team capability.
Ways to develop it. Cultivate the four qualities employers name, make small daily changes to attitude and behaviour, and keep perspective by treating routine irritations with patience and humour instead of alarm.
Discuss the importance of teamwork at the workplace. What are some strategies to develop effective team work skills?
Meaning. Training a set of people to work cohesively towards a desired outcome is essential to a group's success, and it is driven by the group's ability to communicate well while staying fixed on shared objectives. Richard Branson's point that two heads beat one, and Vince Lombardi's line about individual commitment to a group effort, are both used in the book.
Advantages. Work is distributed evenly so no single person carries the load. Responsibility for problem solving and brainstorming is shared. Decisions come faster. Motivation and rapport improve. Efficiency rises, which the book treats as the single biggest gain.
Marks of a good team. A common goal, clarity of purpose, well defined roles, unity of commitment, smooth communication, accountability, transparency, mutual trust, a collaborative spirit, easy sharing of resources, respect for differing opinions and a willingness to take risks.
Strategies. Understand group behaviour before building the team, accommodate the communication styles of peers, build solidarity, and put Hackman's enabling conditions in place: a compelling direction, a strong structure and a supportive context.
Discuss creativity as a soft skill. Support your answer with the parameters used to understand creativity and suitable examples.
Meaning. Creativity is the use of skill and imagination to produce something new or to produce art. The five words in that definition carry the whole idea. Imagination is the most crucial of them, since without it no creative idea can grow. The book uses the Fevicol advertisements as its example, where an ordinary adhesive is presented in quirky and memorable ways.
Parameters. Appropriate skill, meaning a balance in which every effort towards creating is used in the right measure. Profit or growth, since creativity also serves a wider purpose such as lifting sales. Divergent thinking, meaning seeing a thing from several viewpoints and seeking multiple solutions, the opposite of convergent thinking.
Ten indicators. A new or novel idea, skill or talent, imagination, aesthetic appeal, appropriateness or balance, out of the box thinking, innovation, production, divergent thinking and originality.
As a soft skill. Creativity asks us to look at ordinary things through a new lens, which is why it transfers across every field and fuels both innovation and problem solving.
Write short notes on the following: (a) Self reflection and Gibbs' reflective cycle (b) Conflict resolution and negotiation
(a) Self reflection. Reflection is the general term for the intellectual and emotional activity through which people explore their own experience in order to arrive at fresh understanding. Socrates held that the unexamined life is not worth living, and John Dewey observed that we learn from reflecting on experience rather than from experience itself. Graham Gibbs set out his six stage cycle in 1988: description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan.
(b) Conflict resolution. Conflict is an active disagreement between people holding opposing opinions or principles, and at work it lowers morale, reduces efficiency and raises absenteeism. Farnsworth and colleagues list eight causes, among them conflicting needs, styles, perceptions, goals, pressures, roles and personal values.
Robin identifies five resolution styles, namely confront, compromise, collaborate, accommodate and avoid, applied through three strategies: engage, do not engage, and negotiate. Negotiation means setting the disagreement aside and working towards an outcome both sides can accept.
If these five read the way you want your own script to read, the other 8 questions are written to the same standard. Students who also want the raw papers behind this analysis can look at our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper section and compare the wording sitting by sitting.

How We Built the BEGE 145 Solved Guess Paper for Soft Skills
Six Term End papers from June 2023 to December 2025 were read question by question, each topic was logged against the sitting it appeared in, and only topics with a repeat pattern or a clear recency gap made it into the 13.
The method is ordinary and it is meant to be. We take the official question papers published on the IGNOU previous question paper portal, tabulate every topic set in every sitting, and count. A topic appearing four or more times, or one that has been absent long enough to be due, earns a high priority tag. Two or three appearances earn medium. A single appearance stays out of the main list.
Answers are then written from the IGNOU self learning material hosted on eGyanKosh, not from summarised web content. That matters more in Soft Skills than in most courses, because evaluators here are marking against specific definitions, specific scholar names and specific counts, such as five leadership theories or seven types of non verbal communication.
The result is a file that reflects the paper as it is actually set. Students taking other courses in the same programme can find the same treatment applied across our BAG Guess Paper range, where each course code is analysed on its own record instead of sharing a generic template.
Block Wise Chapter Map of BEGE 145 Soft Skills
BEGE 145 Soft Skills is organised into four blocks, and the guess paper draws questions from all four. Block 4 carries the heaviest load with five questions, Block 1 has three, Block 2 has two and Block 3 has one, with the short note question spanning Blocks 2 and 4.
Knowing which block a question belongs to is not academic housekeeping. When you sit down to verify an answer against your own material, the block reference tells you which PDF to open, and it stops you from hunting through four hundred pages for a definition that lives in one place.
| Block | Block title | Core topics in this block | Guess paper questions from here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Block 1 | Understanding Soft Skills | What soft skills are and why employers rank them, non verbal communication and body language, personality development, and the role of physical fitness in building soft skills | Q1 soft skills meaning, Q2 non verbal communication, Q7 time management |
| Block 2 | Understanding the Self | Self reflection and the reflective cycle, adaptability as a response to change, emotional intelligence and its competences, and learnability as a lifelong ability | Q3 emotional intelligence, Q12 adaptability, and part (a) of Q13 |
| Block 3 | Understanding the Other | Appreciating perspectives other than your own, principles of coordination, managing diversity at work, and people skills in a team setting | Q9 teamwork and collaboration |
| Block 4 | Thinking Out of the Box | Creativity and creative thinking, critical thinking, decision making, and forward looking problem solving under uncertainty | Q4 problem solving, Q5 listening, Q6 leadership, Q8 creativity, Q11 diversity and inclusion, and part (b) of Q13 |
BEGE 145 sits in the elective pool for IGNOU's Bachelor of Arts (General) (BAG) and is also taught within the English honours stream, which is why the same course code shows up on two different mark sheets. The paper and the syllabus are the same in both cases.
BEGE 145 Soft Skills Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The BEGE 145 Soft Skills Term End paper carries 100 marks and runs for 3 hours. Five questions of 20 marks each are set, most of them with an internal OR choice, and one of the five is usually a short note question where you write any two of the options at 10 marks each.
That structure explains why 13 well chosen questions can cover a whole paper. With an OR choice on most questions, you are effectively attempting five out of roughly ten options. If the topics you have prepared appear on either side of the choice, you have an answer to write.
On length, recent papers have asked for answers of about 350 words. The file works to a slightly higher target of 450 words for 20 marks and 250 for 10, which gives you material to trim under time pressure rather than a gap to fill. Budget about 30 minutes per 20 mark answer and you finish with time to read back.
| Element | Detail | What it means for your preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Total marks | 100 marks in the Term End paper | Assignment marks are counted separately, so this paper alone decides the bulk of your grade |
| Number of questions | Five questions, 20 marks each | You cannot skip a whole question, so breadth across blocks matters more than depth in one |
| Internal choice | Most questions carry an OR alternative | Preparing 13 strong topics realistically covers both sides of several choices |
| Short notes | One question is usually short notes, write any two | Two 250 word notes are quicker marks than one 450 word essay, so attempt this early |
| Answer length | Recent papers ask for roughly 350 words | Quality of definition and structure counts more than volume of writing |
| Duration | 3 hours | Roughly 30 minutes per answer, leaving 30 minutes for reading and revision |
Repeat Topic Frequency in BEGE 145 Soft Skills Term End Papers
Ten topics in BEGE 145 Soft Skills carry a high priority tag because they appeared three or more times across six sittings or have been absent from recent papers. Nine more carry a medium tag at two appearances.
This is the table that did the work. Every entry is a sitting in which the topic was set, either as the main question or as the OR alternative. Read across a row and you can see the pattern for yourself rather than taking a priority label on trust.
| Topic | Jun 23 | Dec 23 | Jun 24 | Dec 24 | Jun 25 | Dec 25 | Priority |

Six further topics appeared only once in the window and are tagged low: interpersonal skills with SWOC analysis, decision making, people management, principles of coordination, positive attitude, and goal setting. The file tells you to keep these as light backup rather than spend revision hours on them.
Why Students Choose This BEGE 145 Soft Skills Guess Paper
The answers are written to be understood on one reading and reproduced in the hall, which is what a working student actually needs in the fortnight before a Term End paper.
Soft Skills is a course where students often assume they can write from common sense. The marks say otherwise. Evaluators are looking for the book's definition, the scholar's name, the exact count of items, and the book's own examples such as Fevicol for creativity or McDonald's local menus for adaptability. General knowledge answers score badly here.
So the writing is kept simple on purpose. Short sentences, numbered points, a subheading every few lines, and no long unbroken paragraphs that are impossible to memorise. A student reading an answer for the second time should be able to recall its skeleton without looking.
The paper is also honest about what to leave out. There is a section telling you which rare topics not to over prepare, and a warning against importing outside examples, because examiners in this course reward book content over modern updates. That guidance is worth as much as the answers themselves.
How to Get the Complete BEGE 145 Soft Skills Guess Paper on WhatsApp
Send a WhatsApp message to 9899436384 with the course code BEGE 145, confirm your session, and the complete 13 question file is shared with you as a PDF after your enquiry is processed.
There is no account to create and no form to fill. One message with the code is enough for us to identify what you need. If you are taking more than one course this session, mention the other codes in the same message and we will tell you which of them we already have prepared.
Questions before you enquire are welcome. Students often want to know whether a specific topic is covered, or whether the answer length suits their handwriting speed. Ask on the same number and you will get a straight answer rather than a sales pitch.
BEGE 145 Soft Skills Guess Paper Questions Students Ask
The eight questions below are the ones students actually send us on WhatsApp before enquiring about the BEGE 145 Soft Skills guess paper, answered plainly.
What is included in the BEGE 145 Soft Skills solved guess paper for 2026?
The file includes 13 questions with complete written answers across 16 pages, of which 14 pages are answers. Each question carries a priority tag, a block and section reference, and a record of the sittings in which the topic last appeared. A preparation brief covering the paper pattern and topics to skip is included at the end.
Is the BEGE 145 Soft Skills guess paper based on previous year question papers?
Yes. Six Term End papers from June 2023 to December 2025 were read and every topic was logged against the sitting it appeared in. Topics with three or more appearances, or a long absence suggesting they are due, were tagged high priority. Single appearance topics were left out of the main list and noted as light backup only.
How many questions does the BEGE 145 Soft Skills guess paper contain?
Thirteen questions in total. Eleven are full 20 mark questions and one is a short note question worth 10 plus 10 marks, matching the way IGNOU sets the paper. Five of the thirteen are published on this page as samples with their answers, so the remaining 8 questions are the ones you receive after enquiring.
Which blocks of BEGE 145 Soft Skills does the guess paper cover?
All four blocks are covered: Understanding Soft Skills, Understanding the Self, Understanding the Other, and Thinking Out of the Box. Block 4 supplies the largest share of questions, Block 1 follows, and Blocks 2 and 3 are represented too. Every answer names its block so you can verify the point in your own study material.
Will this BEGE 145 Soft Skills guess paper work for the December 2026 exam?
Yes. The paper was prepared for the June 2026 and December 2026 Term End Examinations, so the December 2026 sitting is fully covered. The topic analysis behind it runs from June 2023 to December 2025, and the priority tags reflect the repeat pattern seen across all six of those sittings rather than the wording of a single recent paper.
Are the BEGE 145 Soft Skills answers written from the IGNOU textbook?
Every answer is written from the IGNOU self learning material for this course, which is published on eGyanKosh. That matters because evaluators here mark against the book's own definitions, scholar names and exact counts. Answers assembled from general web summaries tend to miss those specifics and lose marks even when the broad idea behind them is perfectly right.
How do I receive the complete BEGE 145 Soft Skills solved guess paper?
Message 9899436384 on WhatsApp with the course code BEGE 145 and your session. We confirm what you need, process the enquiry, and share the complete file as a PDF on the same chat. It opens on any phone without an extra app, so you can revise from it directly rather than printing it out first.
Can the BEGE 145 Soft Skills guess paper guarantee the same questions in the exam?
No, and any seller promising that is not being straight with you. What the paper does is concentrate your revision on the topics that have repeated most often across six sittings. Because most questions carry an OR choice, covering 13 strong topics gives you a realistic chance of having an answer ready for each of the five questions.
