Value Highlights

BSSS 183 Solved Guess Paper with 60 fully answered objective questions, each carrying the correct option and a one-line reason.
Built after reading four complete IGNOU term-end papers question by question: Dec 2024, June 2025, Dec 2025 and June 2026.
Every single question is tagged to its block and its unit, so you always know which part of the Life Skills book it came from.
35 high-priority questions are flagged separately, so you know what to revise first when only one evening is left.
Seven gap topics are included: units that stopped appearing recently and are statistically due to return this session.
Answers are written in plain exam-ready English, so you recognise the right option in seconds instead of re-reading a unit.
A 37-page PDF sent on WhatsApp the same day, readable on any phone, with no printing and no login needed to open it.
Matched to the current 50-mark objective pattern and aimed at the December 2026 and June 2027 term-end sittings.

Course Overview

BSSS 183 Solved Guess Paper is a 37-page objective question bank for the IGNOU Life Skills course, carrying 60 exam-style questions with the correct option and a short reason under each one. Every question has been lifted from a pattern that has already appeared, or from a unit that has quietly gone missing from recent papers. It is built for learners sitting the December 2026 and June 2027 term-end examinations.

What Is Inside the BSSS 183 Solved Guess Paper

The file holds 60 solved objective questions spread across all five blocks of BSSS-183 Life Skills, running to 37 pages. Each question is presented the way IGNOU prints it, with four numbered alternatives, followed by the correct answer in bold and a two or three line explanation that tells you why the other options fail.

The layout is deliberately repetitive so that revision becomes mechanical. Every question card shows four things at the top: the topic name, a priority chip reading High, Medium or Low, the block and unit it belongs to, and the sessions in which that exact idea last surfaced. So when you see "Dec 2025, June 2025, Dec 2024" printed next to a question on the 24-hour custody rule, you already know it is not optional reading.

The distribution is not even, and that is intentional. Block 2 on Digital Skills carries 18 questions because it has produced the heaviest question load in every recent paper. Block 5 on Career Skills carries only 4, because across all four papers read for this file, career and interview topics did not produce a single traceable objective question. Those four are carried as backup, not as priority.

Closing the file are three revision tools: a rule sheet on what the examiner actually tests, a topic-by-session frequency grid, and a two-column full-forms table covering everything from ASHA and NTEP through to ONORC, ABHA and MGNREGA. In a paper where a third of the marks turn on recognising an abbreviation, that last table alone tends to be the page students photograph.

Sample Questions and Answers from the BSSS 183 Guess Paper

Five of the 60 questions are reproduced below in full, exactly as they appear in the PDF, one from each block. They are shown so you can judge the quality of the explanations before you pay for anything. Nothing has been shortened or rewritten for this page.

Sample 1High priorityBlock 1, Unit 2 Legal AwarenessLast appeared: Dec 2025, June 2025

Custody and Bail

Question: After arrest, the police is required to produce the arrested person before the local Magistrate within:

  1. 12 hours
  2. 24 hours
  3. 48 hours
  4. 72 hours

Answer: (2) 24 hours

Why: When the police arrests a suspect and brings him to the police station, it is called Police Custody. The police must produce the arrested person before the local Magistrate within 24 hours. The time taken in the journey from the police station to the court is not counted. The Magistrate may then grant bail, or send the person to judicial custody or police custody.

Sample 2High priorityBlock 2, Unit 8 Cyber SecurityLast appeared: Dec 2025

CIA Triad Model

Question: Which principle of the CIA Triad asserts that only authorized people and means can alter, add or remove sensitive information?

  1. Confidentiality
  2. Integrity
  3. Availability
  4. Authenticity

Answer: (2) Integrity

Why: CIA is the base of any security system. Confidentiality means only authorized parties can access sensitive information and functions. Integrity means only authorized people and means can alter, add or remove sensitive information. Availability means authorized personnel can access the data whenever they need it.

Sample 3High priorityBlock 3, Unit 11 Savings and Investment OptionsLast appeared: June 2026, Dec 2025, Dec 2024

Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana

Question: Under PMJDY, the overdraft (OD) facility available to eligible account holders is up to:

  1. Rs. 5,000
  2. Rs. 10,000
  3. Rs. 25,000
  4. Rs. 50,000

Answer: (2) Rs. 10,000

Why: PMJDY is the national mission for financial inclusion. A basic savings bank deposit account can be opened in any bank branch or with a Business Correspondent (Bank Mitra) outlet. There is no need to keep any minimum balance. A RuPay Debit card and accidental insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh are given, and an overdraft facility up to Rs. 10,000 is available to eligible account holders.

Sample 4High priorityBlock 4, Unit 13 Services at Local LevelLast appeared: Dec 2024

Eleventh Schedule

Question: The Eleventh Schedule (Article 243G) of the Constitution lists how many subjects for Panchayati Raj Institutions?

  1. 18
  2. 24
  3. 29
  4. 32

Answer: (3) 29

Why: The 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act gives constitutional status to Panchayati Raj Institutions. These local government institutions have jurisdiction over 29 subjects mentioned in the Eleventh Schedule (Article 243G) of the Constitution. These include agriculture, drinking water, rural housing, roads, education, health and sanitation and the public distribution system.

Sample 5Low priorityBlock 5, Unit 17 Preparing for Interview and CVNot asked recently, gap topic

Kinds of Interviews

Question: Interviews in which employees get a chance to review the work they are doing and set objectives for the future are called:

  1. Panel interviews
  2. Deep-end interviews
  3. Progress interviews
  4. Traditional one to one interviews

Answer: (3) Progress interviews

Why: Progress interviews are interviews where employees have a chance to review the work they are doing and set the objectives for the future. They usually take place after a new employee has worked with a company for several months, and after that once or twice a year. Deep-end interviews make applicants show how they cope in actual business situations.

That is 5 questions out of 60. The remaining 55, along with the frequency grid and the full-forms sheet, are inside the complete PDF.

Two units, Universal Human Values and Exploring Career Opportunities, sit at zero. That is not an oversight. Neither has produced an objective question in the four papers analysed, and padding the file with invented questions from those units would only dilute the fifty-five that matter. If you want to read those two units properly rather than guess at them, the unit-wise BSSS 183 Study Material is the place to start, and the official blocks are hosted on eGyanKosh.

How the BSSS 183 Important Questions Were Shortlisted from Past Papers

Four complete term-end papers were read question by question: December 2024, June 2025, December 2025 and June 2026. Each question was reduced to its underlying topic, and those topics were tallied across the four sittings. Topics that kept returning were marked High. Topics appearing two or three times were marked Medium. Topics that surfaced once were marked Low.

A second pass looked for the opposite signal. Some topics sit squarely in the syllabus, are easy to frame as a four-option question, and yet have gone quiet for two or three sittings. Blockchain, financial intermediation, the savings formula and the Sukanya age limit all fall into this bracket. Seven such gap topics were pulled back in and marked accordingly, because a quiet topic in an objective paper is usually a topic waiting its turn.

One point worth being straight about. A guess paper is a probability tool, not a leaked paper. It tells you where the marks have historically clustered so that limited revision time goes to the right place. If you want to run the same check yourself before trusting our reading, the raw sitting-wise papers are collected on our IGNOU Previous Year Question Paper page.

BSSS 183 Life Skills Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The BSSS-183 term-end paper is fully objective: 50 questions, 1 mark each, 50 marks in total, answered on an OMR sheet in 2 hours. There is no descriptive section, no internal choice within a question, and no word limit to worry about. Every question is compulsory.

Each question offers four alternatives numbered (1) to (4), and exactly one is correct. In the recent pattern, if you are convinced that none of the four fits, you are allowed to write 0 and darken column 0 rather than guessing blindly. The paper is bilingual, printing the English version first and the Hindi version of the same question directly beneath it.

What this pattern rewards is recognition speed, not writing stamina. Fifty questions in one hundred twenty minutes leaves a little over two minutes per question, which sounds generous until you spend six minutes staring at one you half remember. The sensible approach is to answer sequentially, skip anything that does not resolve within thirty seconds, and return to the skipped ones at the end.

Because the marks turn on recall rather than argument, the shape of your preparation should change too. Long essay-style notes are wasted effort here. Exact numbers, exact full forms and one-line book definitions are where the fifty marks actually live.

Does BSSS 183 Life Skills Have a Practical File or Lab Record

No. BSSS-183 Life Skills has no practical file, no lab record and no viva component. It is a Skill Enhancement Course delivered entirely through self-learning material, and there is nothing for you to submit to a study centre beyond the assignment.

We are saying this plainly because a number of sellers list a "BSSS 183 practical file" alongside the guess paper, and students then message us worried that they have missed a submission. There is no such requirement. If a seller offers you one, ask them which unit prescribes it, and the conversation usually ends there.

What does exist alongside the term-end paper is the Tutor Marked Assignment, carrying 100 marks and covering the same five blocks in descriptive form. The current assignment booklet is published by the School of Social Sciences on the official IGNOU website. Do not confuse the two. The assignment wants paragraphs; the term-end paper wants a darkened bubble.

So the index for this course reads: 5 blocks, 17 units, one Tutor Marked Assignment worth 100 marks, one objective term-end paper worth 50 marks, and zero practical files.

Which Programmes Can Use This BSSS 183 Guess Paper

BSSS-183 is a common Skill Enhancement Course, so the same paper is written by learners across a wide spread of undergraduate programmes. If BSSS-183 appears on your programme structure, this file applies to you regardless of your specialisation.

That covers the Bachelor of Arts (BAG), BA General and the CBCS BA Programmes, along with the Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes, meaning BA Major, BAM and the Multidisciplinary streams. It also reaches learners in BA (Urdu), BA History Honours, BA Anthropology and BA Economics, and the various other BA and BSc Honours or Major degrees that carry this course.

The specialisation you have chosen makes no difference to the question paper. A BA Urdu learner and a BSc Honours learner sitting BSSS-183 in the same session receive an identical bilingual objective paper. If you are collecting material for the rest of your programme at the same time, the consolidated BAG guess Paper shelf lists the other course codes we have already covered.

A Ten Day Revision Plan Built Around the BSSS 183 Guess Paper

Ten days is enough for BSSS-183 if you work backwards from the priority chips rather than forwards from page one. Here is the sequence we suggest to learners who message us with a fortnight left.

  1. Days 1 to 2: Read only the 35 High priority questions. Do not read the explanations yet. Just look at the question and the bolded answer, twice.
  2. Days 3 to 4: Take Blocks 2 and 4 together, 32 questions between them, and read the explanation lines. These two blocks alone account for more than half the file.
  3. Day 5: Full-forms table, out loud, covering the right-hand column with your palm. Aim to get through all of it twice.
  4. Days 6 to 7: Blocks 1 and 3, with attention to the exact numbers: 24 hours, 21 conditions, 4 per cent, 45 days, Rs 10,000, age 10.
  5. Day 8: The 7 gap topics and the 3 Low priority Block 5 questions. Low effort, low volume, but they are cheap marks if they turn up.
  6. Day 9: Re-read the whole file end to end without stopping. It should take under ninety minutes by this stage.
  7. Day 10: High priority questions only, one final pass, then stop. Sleep matters more than a tenth reading.

One habit worth building from day one. When you get a question wrong, do not just reread the correct option. Read why the other three are wrong, because IGNOU recycles the distractors as much as it recycles the answers.

FAQs on the BSSS 183 Guess Paper for Life Skills

Is the BSSS 183 Solved Guess Paper enough on its own to clear the Life Skills paper?

For most learners it is enough to clear, though it is not a replacement for the book. The file covers 60 questions against a 50-question paper, weighted towards topics that have repeated across four sittings. If you have already read the units, it works as a sharpener. If you have read nothing at all, treat it as your core text and give it a clear ten days.

How many questions does the BSSS 183 Guess Paper contain and how are they arranged?

It contains 60 solved objective questions across 37 pages, arranged in block order from Block 1 through Block 5. Each question carries a priority chip reading High, Medium or Low, plus the sessions in which that idea last appeared and the unit it belongs to. The closing pages hold a topic-by-session frequency grid and a two-column full-forms revision table.

Which term-end sessions does this BSSS 183 Important Questions file target?

It targets the December 2026 and June 2027 sittings. IGNOU conducts term-end examinations only in June and December, so those are the next two opportunities you have to write BSSS-183. The file was built after reading the four most recent papers in full, being December 2024, June 2025, December 2025 and June 2026, question by question.

Is the BSSS 183 Guess Paper useful for the Hindi medium Life Skills paper?

Yes, with one caveat worth knowing. The term-end paper is bilingual, printing each question in English and then in Hindi below it, so the content is identical for both mediums. Our PDF itself is written in English. Hindi medium learners use it regularly for the numbers, full forms and definitions, none of which change between the two versions.

Does BSSS 183 Life Skills require a practical file or lab record?

No. BSSS-183 has no practical, no lab record and no viva of any kind. It is a Skill Enhancement Course assessed through one Tutor Marked Assignment worth 100 marks and one objective term-end paper worth 50 marks. Any seller offering you a BSSS 183 practical file is selling something the syllabus simply does not ask you to submit.

How is the BSSS 183 Life Skills Guess Paper delivered after I message you?

Send a message to 9899436384 on WhatsApp mentioning the course code and your programme name. Once your enquiry is confirmed, the complete 37-page PDF is sent to that same WhatsApp number on the same day. It arrives as an ordinary document you can open on any phone, with no portal login and no printing needed at all.

Are the BSSS 183 Guess Paper answers taken from the official Life Skills book?

Yes. Every explanation is written from the IGNOU BSSS-183 self-learning material, and no outside scheme figures or updated government notifications have been introduced anywhere. This matters more than it sounds, because the examiner marks against the book rather than against current news. Where the book and a newer figure disagree, the book wins in the term-end paper.

Which programmes can use this IGNOU BSSS 183 Guess Paper?

Any programme carrying BSSS-183 on its structure can use it. That includes BAG, BA General and the CBCS BA Programmes, plus the Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes covering BA Major, BAM and the Multidisciplinary streams. Learners in BA Urdu, BA History Honours, BA Anthropology, BA Economics and other BA or BSc Honours and Major degrees write the same paper.
