B Ed Childhood and Growing Up Question Paper Overview
Childhood and Growing Up, paper code 17101, is a first year theory paper in the MDU B.Ed two year annual scheme, carrying 80 marks over three hours. This page gathers the real term end papers from July 2021 to May 2025, so you practise from what was actually set.
Here's what matters. The 17101 syllabus runs from how children grow and develop into the theories that explain how they learn and behave. The paper keeps returning to the same spine: growth and development, then adolescence, then the learning theorists, and finally childhood against poverty and globalisation. Hold those four threads and it stops feeling random.
Most students first hit these inside the wider set of MDU B.Ed Question Papers, read them one at a time, and miss the pattern. Line up five years together and the repeats are obvious. Piaget turns up again and again, so does Thorndike, and Unit four is poverty or globalisation almost every year.

Question Paper vs Solved Answers
A question paper shows what gets asked. A solved answer shows how much to write and in what shape, which most first year students get wrong under time pressure. For a 16 mark question the examiner wants a definition, a body with named theorists, and a short applied ending.
